Tre-Vern

Wonderful location and lots of space. We have 13 people aged 8 to 84 for a week. The white valley is so beautiful and this is a great place to stay. Highly recommend

We booked Little Gaerfields for my Stag weekend and had a wonderful time! The house is very well equipped and clean. We made use of the games room, pool and BBQ. Sheila was very welcoming and helpful and went out of her way to make sure we had what we needed. We also very much enjoyed a country walk to the Royal Arms pub (a scenic 45 minute walk). The welcome gift of 30 eggs, some crisps, chocolate and a excellent Lemon Drizzle cake went down very well. Highly recommend!

Tre Vern Holiday Barn

We booked Tre Vern Holiday Barn for a long weekend hen do and it was the most wonderful stay from start to finish.

In the lead-up to our visit, Sheila was incredibly helpful… full of great local recommendations and super organised when it came to arranging pool slots. On arrival, we were completely blown away by the grounds. The photos honestly don’t do this barn justice. The property was spotlessly clean, lovely and warm, and there was plenty of space for a large group to relax comfortably. Every room has a real wow factor, and it’s clear that so much thought has gone into every detail — the barn truly has everything you could possibly need and more.

It’s a brilliant family-run business on a working farm, which made the stay feel even more special. The land itself is beautiful, with lots of birds around including peacocks, geese, and chickens, which added so much character. The family were around and on site if we needed anything, but never intrusive. There was also plenty of parking, which made arriving and getting around very easy for our group.

We were greeted with a lovely welcome hamper, a delicious lemon drizzle cake (very much appreciated!), and 30 fresh eggs for breakfast — such a thoughtful and generous touch.

The pool was great fun, although a little worn, and we weren’t able to get the sauna working. That said, the family are currently building a new, bigger pool on site, so it completely makes sense that they haven’t invested further in the existing one.

Overall, the stay was absolutely fantastic and we couldn’t have asked for a better place for a hen weekend. I really hope to return to Upperfields Farm in the future. It’s a truly special spot.

We had a wonderful 4 day family weekend celebrating my 75th birthday. 5 children, 18 adults all enjoyed this fantastic place. The Barn was warm, cosy and beautifully decorated. We hired a chef for the Saturday night for a Murder Mystery. Such fun and such happy memories for the whole family. If and when another occasion arises, we would not think of hiring anywhere else. Thank you!

Just spent a lovely weekend in Trevern Barn with friends for a divorce party. It’s an amazing place; beautifully converted, decorated and furnished. Very comfy beds, wonderful shower and glorious views. I hope to be able to return soon once I gather enough family members! I had the pleasure of meeting the owner, Sheila, at the end of our stay – thank you again!

We have today returned from Little Gaerfields Holiday Barn and what a fabulous family time we had. The rooms were clean and comfortable and that kitchen table WOW! We have made lots of treasured memories this week just being all together in a lovely country setting. From quiz’s, bingo, swimming, pumpkin carving thank you to Sheila the owner for buying a pumpkin each for the Children and organising a Trick or Treat Trail with some neighbours in the village! In our group where 16 and ages ranged from 2 – 65 would recommend as lots of space for everyone.

We stayed at Tre-Vern for my hen party over the weekend and it was absolutely perfect. My friends organised the entire thing and to say I was gobsmacked when I arrived at this beautiful venue is an understatement. The venue is spacious, stylish and incredibly practical for large groups with bathrooms in every bedroom! We particularly enjoyed admiring the views from the sheltered balcony (rain or shine!), the two large living spaces and the coffee machine!! Every single detail was considered and the hospitality from Sheila was of the absolute highest standard. Could not recommended enough. From one very happy bride!

Tre-vern was the perfect place to stay for my friend’s Hen Do. The house was so comfortable and like a home away from home, with every little detail considered! Sheila was an amazing host, and made us feel so comfortable. Would recommend to anyone! Thank you so much for a gorgeous stay!

We booked Trevern Barn for my sister’s hen do. It was a great find, perfect for 20 people with so much space inside and out. We loved how well-equipped the place was, it felt like so many little details had been thought of and that the owners appreciated the ways their guests might want to use the space to eat and have fun and dance. The bedrooms were very spacious and having en-suites in each room was so helpful for us with so many guests. Everything was lovely and clean and well-kept. The owner, Sheila, was helpful and responsive and everyone loved the huge lemon drizzle cake she kindly left for us!

Tre-Vern is an absolutely gem of a place to stay. The pictures don’t do the place justice. We stayed for a Hen Do and the space was perfect. The accommodation was clean and extremely well equipped. The rooms and ensuites were well presented, and the communal spaces were so much bigger than they seem in the photos. Sheila was a perfect host, close by for anything we needed but also gave us space. Thank you for a wonderful stay! I’d recommend it to anyone!!

I booked the Tre Vern holiday barn for a stag do I was organising and am so pleased I did. The house was perfect for our group and was within easy reach to lots of activities.

We went on Easter Sunday, farm shop was lovely with good produce. They had an ice cream van!

We stayed at Little Gaerfields last weekend for my Mum’s 80th Birthday. We were a mixture of family and friends ageing from 82 to 8 mths old. The place was spotless, literally every essential you could think of was there and it felt so homely and welcoming. The pool was a massive hit for us all, where we had so much fun! Sheila and Vernon we’re so lovely. We even had a tour of Tre-vern which was absolutely outstanding! I honestly cannot recommend this place enough and hope to visit again next year!

All previous reviews are spot on. Little Gaerfields is an ideal place for a family get-together. We were 16 adults and 10 small children and there was enough to occupy all ages (2 weeks to 70 years) without going anywhere (We had intended to see the surrounding countryside!) All loved the pool and the games room had bikes, table-tennis, dolls house, skittles etc etc. Brilliant! Sheila was very communicative beforehand which made planning easy and she wanted everyone to enjoy themselves. Just go! Jocelyn

Tre-Vern was the perfect place for a weekend of 30th birthday celebrations. The barn is so spacious and well-equipped with everything we needed and more. Sheila was really helpful in answering any questions which made the planning much easier. Would recommend Upperfields for anyone looking for large accommodation suitable for both adults and children.

Little Gaerfields is the perfect place for a family get together. 13 of us ranging in age from a 2-year-old to a 70-year-old granddad had a wonderful week in this fantastic property. The bedrooms and bathrooms were really well appointed and super clean, the kitchen large and well equipped and there was plenty of space for everyone. The grandchildren continually asked, “When are we going to the pool?” and many happy fun-filled hours were spent in the water. They also used the playroom which contained lots of toys as well as the pool table and table tennis table. Many swallows and sparrows visited the feeding station in the garden and we all enjoyed the wonderful views from every window in the property. Sheila is an amazing host and super helpful, she couldn’t do enough to make it easy for us to settle in, answer queries during the week and give us local information to make the most of the area. One of our family has an electric car and one of the bonuses of Little Gaerfields is having an EV charging point on site. We have no reservations in recommending this property; one of our son’s said on the final evening, “When can we come here again?”.

We had a wonderful stay at Little Gaerfields for a hen do weekend. Sheila was very responsive and attentive to any questions and needs we had, and even provided a full tea set for afternoon tea. The rooms and bathrooms were all of a high standard, and the communal areas were very spacious. The kitchen was also incredibly well equipped and we enjoyed using the on-site swimming pool. I would definitely stay again!
