Westbrook Court can hold family and group events and retreats for up to 21 adults and 5 children. There are plenty of shared spaces and private guest rooms offering 9 bedrooms and 8 bathrooms. The huge kitchen with all the kit is perfect for self-catering for groups, or one can easily hire a local catering firm for all budgets.

Spread across two separate buildings, Westbrook Court Country House offers a private “mini estate” feel with gated road access. The 17th-century farmhouse offers four bedrooms (three kings, one double), three living rooms, and a huge dining hall that seats 21 guests. The black timber glad guest suite hosts five independent guest suites (five king size beds with three single sofabeds if required). We can arrange up to 5 blow up single camp beds for children.. The property is on three private acres with stunning views and is only five minutes’ drive from Hay on Wye.

Outside facilities include either a wood-fired hot tub or cold plunge XL tub (start with cool, end with hot!) with an adjacent kadai area for stargazing, a huge rustic games room with table tennis and a dart board, and a further rustic barn room that can host workshops (wreath making, life art workshops, etc.). Also on offer is the huge garden with an ancient willow, a mini apple and pear orchard, a field for bug hunting, and a newly planted small woodland for slow strolls.

Our nearest train stations are Hereford, a 25 minute drive away and Abergavenny, a 40 minute drive away.

Location and Things to Do

Westbrook Court is a short drive from the world famous book town of Hay on Wye, yet feels a world away from the signs of everyday life..

The privacy and peacefulness of the gated property in 3 acres is a tonic for busy people with busy lives, giving the chance to slow down and fully relax with friends and family.

For the energic or slow amblers, there are many long and short walks and hikes from the doorstep including Merbach Hill, Little Mountain only 20 mins drive from Hay Bluff, the start of the Black Mountains and Brecon Beacons mountain range.

After booking, we provide a curated list of local activities for guests of all ages and skill levels, both onsite and offsite. These include Viking Games, Nature Journaling, Star Gazing and Gin Mixing Master Classes, which will make for a memorable celebration stay.
