Landed Houses began in 2008 with one aim: To make it easier for guests to find large country houses.
It started when I (Edmund, the founder) tried to find a house for an event. There were gems out there, but they were scattered everywhere with no decent collection to choose from – so I spent many late evenings and weekends building one.
I don’t enjoy the sales process, which probably explains why one of my favourite listings took five years of conversations before joining. Within 12 months, that house received more bookings through Landed Houses than from any other source. Sometimes you just have to give it a try.

Flat fees
Commission is expensive for houses and many owners avoid it entirely. A flat fee allows the bookings to come direct to you and removes the need to anonymise house names, which gives your guests a better experience.
One price
Our competitors generally have tiered pricing and it’s messy. With Landed Houses it’s one fee for everything.
