Located in the market town of Coleford, Forest House is a perfect location for groups of 25 for special occasions, celebrations, or a family getaway.
As a former 4* hotel, the house has plenty of social spaces, including two lounges, a board games lounge and an elegant dining room. The ground floor of the house was recently redecorated and refurbished to include a stunning, sleek, and modern kitchen.
The ground floor is also host to two bedrooms (one king and one twin) both with their own private en-suite bathrooms and perfect for those who’d prefer to avoid the stairs.
The remaining 9 spacious bedrooms are spread across the first and second floor. All include private en-suite bathrooms and most have TVs in the rooms.
To the rear of the property is a scheduled garden with a barbeque,

The house is clean, tidy and plenty of room, close to the town and amenities. Only fault was a smell in one of the toilet, that came from within the pipes.

A fantastic meal for 2 adults and 2 children. Everything tasted fresh and homemade. We were made to feel very welcome and the host couldn't have been more helpful and friendly to us weary campers. Service was prompt and courteous. From the outside it looks like just a boutique hotel (which I'd love to stay in oneday) but the restaurant was an excellent find and the food was delicious.

Nice little hotel & restaurant located within a 5 minute drive of Puzzlewood. Rooms comfortable and spacious with an excellent power shower. Wonderful breakfast options with ability to create your own. Great dinner, reservations recommended. On site private parking adjacent to hotel. Staff very accommodating. Within short walking distance of Coleford High Street.

Lovely rooms, good size and spotless. The food at Andersen's restaurant is nothing short of excellent, and the service is fantastic: very friendly and personal. Really make you feel welcome. The car park isn't huge (space for maybe 5-6 cars), but with that said, I've never had a problem getting a parking space in several stays.Close to the centre of Coleford (about 5 minutes' walk) is ideal as there are plenty pubs and a decent range of shops as well.Very highly recommended, especially considering the very sensible prices.

The dining area was beautifully displayed, napkins, table cloths ironed, cutlery. I went there for afternoon tea and what a beautiful spread we had. All freshly baked and of superb quality. The owners were very welcoming and attentive. I will be try their A la Carte menu next time. I would definitely recommend!

Took my Grand daughter for a meal last evening and it was excellent. Very friendly service from the staff and owners which then makes for a lovely atmosphere. The food could not be faulted well presented, cooked and seasoned. I have eaten here many times in the past with large parties and never been disappointed. A good selection of wine available. This place does not sting you in the pocket and the restaurant was full.

26 of us stayed here for 40th birthday celebrations, and it was fantastic. Loads of space, a bath room in every bedroom. Wasn't too far from the town. All in all, I would recommend this place for big groups.

Lovely house 5 minutes from the town centre and within easy reach of great things to do in the Wye Valley and beyond. (It's not an hotel any more)
