Monnow Valley Studio is a unique conversion of a famous recording studio that has hosted well-known musicians like Ozzy Osbourne, Tom Jones, Black Sabbath, and Oasis. The property is now a fancy self-catered retreat that can hold up to 24 guests. It still has many cool things from its musical past, like items that belonged to famous visitors.
The property has several unique entertainment areas, such as a soundproofed party room perfect for parties, a dedicated games room, and a movie theatre as good as any professional one. The famous studio room has been well-kept and improved with disco lights and a sound system, making it a great place for parties and events.
The property was fixed up in 2020, and now it has a beautiful new kitchen. There is also a main lounge with a TV and a log burner for warm nights. The dining room is special. It has floor-to-ceiling glass walls, a high vaulted ceiling, and hand-carved stone pillars, making it a great place for groups to eat.
There are two bedrooms on the ground floor, each with its own bathroom. The second floor has nine stylish bedrooms with views of the estate and eight modern bathrooms. Outside, there is a large patio that is great for hosting parties. It has a Jacuzzi hot tub, tables, and comfortable sofas.
Location and Things to Do
Monnow Valley Studio is situated just 2.5 miles outside the market town of Monmouth, offering a variety of eateries and independent shops. The property is surrounded by many public footpaths for hiking, and the Rolls of Monmouth Golf Club is just a short drive away.

Large party kitchen with everything & more needed for a comfortable stay. We were there with family & friends for a pre Christmas stay & loved the huge Christmas tree in the studio area. Would highly recommend.

Had a wonderful few days at Monnow Valley. Great accommodation for a large group (19), especially if you enjoy (trying) to make music together. Musical history drips from the walls. A superb experience and the team there couldn’t be more helpful. It’s set in beautiful countryside, right next to the river Monnow. Would love to return one day.

The most enjoyable experience I’ve had in a studio. Such a lovely atmosphere. A really nice live room, fantastic sounding drum room, an extraordinary collection of mics, outboard and instruments and brilliant results, thanks to Edie’s stellar engineering and attention to detail. The accommodation is lovely too! Hoping very much that this magical place remains.

Great studio space and equipment. Main room is arguably the best sounding room I have ever been in! Staff are super helpful and friendly, and help to make you feel very at home. They’re dedicated to making you sound amazing. Accommodation is good and kitchen has standard equipment needed. Surrounding area is picturesque and peaceful, the river/stream was a great place to chill out. Local village/town 5/10mins away has everything you need.
