Tone Dale House is a great place to throw a party because it has both old-world charm and modern entertainment options. The main house has 11 well-designed bedrooms and can hold up to 31 people (or 21 without the Stables). It is next to a mill. You can set up the rooms in different ways, and the beds can be doubles or twins to fit the needs of different groups. The Fox family has lived on the property for over 200 years, and many rooms are named after them.
The property’s areas for fun are great. There are two dining rooms, a big kitchen that is great for cooking for a lot of people, and a drawing room with views of the garden that is great for relaxing. There are many ways to have fun in the games room: pool table, tennis table, and table football. The cinema/party room is also great for having fun at night.
The Stables, which are connected to the main house, have five bedrooms, their own kitchen, and a sitting room. They allow guests more freedom while still being part of the larger group.
The outdoor areas are wonderful, with a hot tub and a mill stream on the 4 acres of grounds. The property is a great mix of an old house and a modern party space, so guests can enjoy real period settings without giving up modern comforts.

Edmund's Choice of Extraordinary Feature
“Tone Dale’s one of the best sort of party houses – relaxed atmosphere, lots of space. The best bit has to be the sound-proofed party room – you can have your own club night and dance the tarantella until your legs give way.”

We have just celebrated our daughter’s 30th birthday over the past weekend at Tone Dale – a captivatingly beautiful house. We all felt that for a few brief moments of our lives we were cocooned and immersed in the magic and warmth of the house – a place of enchantment. The Big House Company were great from start to finish and provided an excellent choice of caterers and indeed activities to keep us happily occupied. We all felt very welcome. Housekeeping staff keep the property spotless and the beds are very comfortable. Great living and eating spaces, wonderful gardens with a large and popular hot tub, and a variety of walks made Tone Dale the place to be.

The annual search for an ideal property to spend a two week break for a large extended family from parents to children and grandchildren always takes a large amount of careful thought and review. Tone Dale house met our aspirations and the experience was exceptional. The House has a fascinating history and books and pictures portray this for those interested. The facilities in the house and its many rooms /stairs and passages games room and party room can occupy young children in inclement weather and the grounds allow them to play and run off extra energy. The rooms and dining/cooking facilities were clean and generally excellent for such an old house and the area was quiet but within reach of many points of interest for all ages.
We booked the whole facility for single group occupation.
The staff were friendly and helpful though rarely needed but the wifi was a little patchy.
Will no doubt return as the general consensus of the family was this was the best place we have stayed in over 10 years.

From booking to departing, Tone Dale House and Big House Co. were exceptional. The booking process is efficient and friendly and the check in and out extremely easy, removing any unnecessary stress from a holiday. They even send a floor plan with details of the rooms so we were able to allocate rooms ahead of time and were welcomed with names on the doors! A group of 25 friends (including young kids) stayed at Tone Dale House and Stables for the Easter Weekend and it was the perfect getaway. The house and stables are spacious and well looked after and the garden is huge and beautiful. The kitchens have ample space and facilities for everyone and it was so great to have a large dining room that we could all sit down in for meals. The hot tub, disco room and games room are great additions too. They have a lot of activities and catering that you can book ahead of time. We took advantage of the catering on Easter Sunday and had a large BBQ in the garden which was perfect. There’s also a small local shop nearby that’s very handy. The surrounding area was really lovely for a long walk or run in the countryside. We cannot recommend Big House Co and Tone Dale House more!

We have just spent 4 days at Tone Dale House to celebrate my daughter’s 21st birthday. The house is wonderful – the perfect mix of comfort and practicality. The team at the Big House Company were super efficient and offered lots of help with the weekend. The area is great and we did some super walks to local pubs – despite the incredibly hot weather. The dining room easily held 28 people and looked wonderful for dinner. The gardens are great with plenty of activities as well as the hot tub which was well used. I cannot recommend it enough.

We recently rented Tone Dale for my 50th birthday, inviting family and friends to stay with us for the weekend.
This is the 2nd time we have stayed in this special home. I cannot praise it enough. The rooms are stunning – as one friend said – he felt he was on the set of Downton. It’s a beautiful house in a fantastic location.
If the weather is kind then there is much to explore and if it isn’t there is ample room for everyone to relax, chat etc.
The kitchen is so well equipped and we hired in caterers that Peter and his brilliant team recommended.
The party room with karaoke was hysterical and the hot tub a great hit.
We loved our stay. We will be back again. Our friends have asked if I can have a 55th birthday here!!
Thank you Peter, Beverley and co for helping us to arrange such a memorable weekend. Oh and the stables that are new since our first stay are gorgeous.

What a fantastic family weekend. Tone Dale House was the perfect location to celebrate at 60th birthday with 37 relatives all together for the weekend. House & grounds perfect to provide accommodation (with some off loaded to Cleve Spa Hotel) and entertainment. Archery on Saturday in the sun (Birds Hill Days); Cider tour & lunch on Sundayin the rain (Sheppys) followed by "live" Cleudo & games. Celebration Thai meal was excellent. Croquet, pool &table tennis in action as was the Hot tub.
Comments from the folks:- "Superb Weekend", "Stunning Weekend", "wonderful weekend", "10/10 the best weekend"
