The Manor on the Monnow is a beautiful baroque manor house that is both elegant and comfortable. The property is in a great spot on the River Monnow and has 11 well-designed bedrooms that can fit up to 26 people. The house has many beautiful period details, especially in the grand hall. It has comfortable sofas, a beautiful chandelier, and a big fireplace with a log burner, making the room feel warm and welcoming.

The oak beams make the big dining room look different, and it was made to fit everyone comfortably. The modern kitchen has everything you need for group catering. The breakfast room next door is a more laid-back place to eat. Getting to the property is easy because it has two bedrooms on the first floor. One has its own bathroom, and the other one is nearby.

There are nine more bedrooms on the upper floors. They are a mix of double and twin rooms so that groups of different sizes can stay there. Seven modern bathrooms ensure that everyone is comfortable and has what they need. The entertainment choices are especially great. There is a big game room with a pool, table tennis, and table football, and an indoor hot tub is a great place to relax.

Much work has gone into keeping the building’s historic look while ensuring all the modern conveniences are there. The end result is a classy but cosy space that is great for family gatherings and special events.

Really lovely house – it’s hard to find something that caters to everyone’s needs when you’re booking for a large group but this was perfect.

Just returned from a wonderful weekend for my daughters Hen Party. What an amazing time was had by all. Excellent accommodation, everything you could possibly need is there. The manager who met us on arrival, was lovely. Very peaceful, beautiful grounds, access to a lagoon, which was very much needed with this hot weather. The outside space was perfect. Walk into Monmouth was about 25mins at a slow walk. This property is idea for large gatherings or family parties. Would definitely recommend

Fantastic holiday with 22 of our family gathered for October half term , the children played hide and seek 2 years old to 15 yr old ,we all had our own family bathrooms etc ,I can see why it’s booked for Christmas’s in advance, the hot tub was very good

Nice house, but a bit tired and dated. Our shower needed a good clean to remove the mould. Stains on bedroom carpet, toe nails on large sitting room floor.

Wow…!! What an amazing place. Spent a long weekend here with family to celebrate my mums 80th should have been last year but cancelled due to covid, but it was worth the wait.

The service from BHHL was excellent from start to finish. We had to amend due to COVID which was simple and efficient. Website excellent, easy payments and good communication. The house itself (Mannor on the Morrow) was brilliant. Great size, so much space for 21 people. Good facilities and great location. The house Manager was very welcoming and when we asked for a little more heating in the great lounge and games room, he was over like a shot and did this, along with checking every other room, very quickly. That said, everywhere else was so warm it didn’t need it. Linen and cleanliness top notch. Ignore 1 star reviews. Best big family weekend we have had, and we have done one every year (bar COVID of course) over the last 10 years.
