Forest House is a great place to stay in the market town of Coleford. It was carefully planned to accommodate groups of up to 25 people for family vacations, parties, or other special events. The property used to be a 4-star hotel, so it has many social spaces that are great for a variety of events and activities.

There are several reception areas on the ground floor, including two welcoming lounges, a board games lounge, and a lovely dining room. The modern kitchen has been updated, making it a great place for group catering. The two bedrooms on the ground floor, one with a king bed and the other with twin beds, each have their own bathroom, so it’s easy for people to stay.

The other nine big bedrooms are on the first and second floors. Each one has its own bathroom, and most have TVs to make lie-ins more relaxed. The property has a good mix of old-fashioned charm and modern comforts, making rooms beautiful and comfortable.

The outdoor area has been carefully planned to include a scheduled garden with BBQ facilities, a furnished patio perfect for eating outside, and a hot tub for relaxing. We considered every part of the property to ensure it could hold bigger groups while still being warm and inviting.

What a fantastic place, lucky enough to have found the cellar, made me chuckle. Very spacious and a mansion with character. Very close to the town- literally on the doorstep. Wouldn’t hesitate to return here

Ashley Nicholls

Great place to use a s a base to explore the local area. Great space and amenities at the hotel

Greg Farmer

26 of us stayed here for 40th birthday celebrations, and it was fantastic. Loads of space, a bath room in every bedroom. Wasn’t too far from the town. All in all, I would recommend this place for big groups.
