The Old Georgian Rectory is a stunning Grade II* listed structure that blends modern comforts with the majesty of the past. With a good balance of private and communal areas, the house is well-designed to accommodate up to 18 guests. The ground floor features a spacious kitchen with an oil-fired aga and a thoughtfully designed layout, making it a cosy and welcoming area for informal dining and group meals.

The reception areas have been thoughtfully arranged to provide ample space for visitors to gather. Two comfortable living rooms with wood-burning stoves create a tranquil setting. The spacious dining area has a cosy, welcoming atmosphere and is a sophisticated setting for formal meals and gatherings. A snug, a cloakroom, and two bedrooms —one twin and one double with an attached bathroom —are located on the ground floor, making it even more convenient.

The upper floors have eight additional bedrooms, each with a combination of king, double, twin, super-king, and single beds to accommodate various groups. While the meticulous renovations preserve the property’s old-world charm, the seven contemporary bathrooms ensure every visitor is at ease and has everything they need.

The house still has all the modern conveniences but has a genuine period feel thanks to the preservation and improvement of its original features. The property is a fantastic location for business retreats, special events, and family get-togethers because it blends modern comforts with its historic charm.

Edmund's Favourite Feature

“It’s incredibly difficult to choose a favourite thing about the Old Georgian Rectory, there’s so much on offer. But if I had to pick an interesting feature, it would be the record player – very few houses come with one. Cosying up in front of the fire spinning some favourite sounds like a perfect way to spend an evening!”

Great communication with the Owners. The house is even better in person than on the website. Each room is so tastefully decorated and to a high standard. Great location for access to walks in the Forest of Dean and visits to the Cotswolds. Really comfortable beds and just a fantastic stay.
