Skendleby Hall is truly exceptional. We stayed there last weekend to celebrate my 40th birthday, and everything about the experience was flawless. There were 26 of us, yet the house felt both wonderfully spacious and effortlessly luxurious. The interiors are beautifully designed with great attention to detail, and the grounds are simply stunning. It’s a genuinely special place, and we feel incredibly fortunate to have spent such a memorable weekend there.

Amanda and Adrian were outstanding hosts who went above and beyond to make sure everything ran perfectly. Amanda was incredibly attentive, offering thoughtful suggestions and helpful guidance on planning the weekend, while Adrian treated us to a personalised wine tasting, which was a real highlight. They are a delightful couple.

The catering was excellent – the food was absolutely delicious – and the cleaning team were equally impressive. I couldn’t recommend this venue more highly. Thank you, Amanda and Adrian, for such a wonderful experience!

An Unforgettable 60th at Skendleby Hall From the moment I first visited Skendleby Hall, I knew it was the perfect venue for my 60th birthday. The house is beautiful and elegant, tucked away in a charming village with a great local pub and lovely walks right on the doorstep. The interior is full of character; the grand drawing room provided the perfect backdrop for my 1920s jazz theme, while the bright, elegant piano room was the ideal spot for our live singer to kick things off. The bedrooms are all tastefully unique and very comfortable, and having two kitchens made catering for our four-day stay a breeze. We made full use of the amenities, from the hot tub to the full-sized snooker table and the games room. Even in March, the rolling views from the grounds were stunning—especially the misty mornings. Whether you are planning a wedding, a big birthday, or even a murder mystery (which worked perfectly here!), I can’t recommend this venue enough. Amanda is a wonderful host who ensures everything is catered for. My family and friends loved every second!

This was the second visit to Skendleby for our large family group. The facilities are ideal for self catering and provide plenty of space for large and smaller group activities. The bedrooms and bathrooms are beautifully presented and very comfortable and provide a good mix of doubles and twins to suit everyone’s needs. The grounds are beautiful…a bit soggy when we were there but beautiful none the less. The hot tub was a delight. We used an “approved” caterer whilst at the Hall o a celebration meal…can’t recommend The Chocolate Fairy highly enough. Fabulous meal and elegantly served in the fabulous dining room. Overall, a visit to Skendleby Hall for large groups is an amazing experience. And it’s so close to beaches as well!

We visited Skendleby Hall for a Christmas celebration and it was absolutely exceptional from start to finish. The food was outstanding, the wine flowed beautifully, and the hospitality was warm, attentive and genuinely welcoming.

The surroundings are stunning – elegant, festive and full of character – creating such a special atmosphere for a Christmas stay. Our room was incredibly comfortable, beautifully presented and perfect for a relaxing night after the celebrations.

Every detail felt thoughtfully considered. Skendleby Hall is a truly magical place and we can’t wait to return.

An Unforgettable Night & A Stunning Transformation!

I recently attended a charity dinner at Skendleby Hall for The Orders of St John Care Trust, and I was absolutely blown away.

This venue is a testament to passion and dedication. I visited the Hall years ago as a teenager in the Scouts, and the transformation achieved by Adrian, Amanda, and their team is simply incredible. They have done a sterling job of restoring and renovating this magnificent Grade II listed house.

The venue itself provided the perfect setting for the event—beautifully maintained, historic, and welcoming. The catering and service provided by the team were flawless, making for a truly memorable evening.

For anyone looking for a unique and high-quality venue for an event, wedding, or large group stay, I highly recommend Skendleby Hall. You are not only booking an amazing space, but you are also supporting a monumental effort in heritage preservation.

Thank you to the whole team for an exceptional experience. I look forward to seeing the continued restoration work!

We enjoyed a brilliant evening at the Skendleby Hall Christmas event on Friday night. Great ambience, fantastic food and wines, excellent entertainment and all followed with a very comfortable night in a luxury room. Skendleby Hall is perfectly located on the edge of the Lincolnshire Wolds, with amazing views and abundant countryside to walk in. Many thanks to Amanda and Adrian for a brilliant event!

We were caught without a venue 3 weeks before our wedding day. Amanda and Adrian had paused weddings for the off season but offered to save the day. After accepting Amanda’s offer, the wedding was quickly upon us. With some vendors travelling the extra distance and Amanda pulling in some favours to fill the gaps, our wedding day was amazing. We really did use all of the hall, we had guests playing wine pong in the garage, the more civilised playing snooker, and the normal folk chilling in the library or bar. It really did work very well for out fairly intimate wedding (40 ppl). The pub in the village helped with extra accommodation and Friday evening’s food. It all came together very well. No guests were left without a room.

Skendleby Hall is a delightful country house set in rolling countryside. Visited for a weekend retreat with skilled practitioners and great hospitality. Ideal location for a staycation or special family celebration. Chance to escape the everyday and enjoy special memories.

Attended the Athena Networking event on Thursday and the Wellbeing Day on Saturday. Thoroughly enjoyed my experience at the beautiful Skendleby Hall. Food was wonderful and met some fabulous ladies.

I’ve attended two sound baths at Skendleby Hall, run by the lovely Amanda. Each time, Amanda has been incredibly accommodating and welcoming. The sound bath experiences themselves were amazing, something completely new for me, and I left feeling deeply relaxed and refreshed. It also helps that they take place in such a stunning venue full of character and charm. I’d definitely recommend Skendleby Hall if you’re looking to relax and unwind. I’m excited to see what Amanda and her team create in the future!

Everything about Skendleby Hall is wonderful, from the moment you drive into the grounds. Amanda and the staff at Skendleby ensure your stay is memorable and that you are looked after incredibly well. The inside of stylish and grand yet peaceful and the outside ground are stunning. Food delicious, events and retreats not to be missed too!

I don’t even know where to begin with this amazing place!! The grounds before you even get into the building are amazing!! We had a stay here, the house is absolutely beautiful, the room we stayed in was out of this world, so clean and everything in keeping with the building, shower and a bath and chairs to actually sit and take it all in. We played snooker and watched tele which was a very nice touch and plenty of other rooms to explore! Will definitely be visiting again.

I am always looking for locations to run Somatic Yoga retreats and the venues have to be special, Skendleby Hall really is. It has such a peaceful and grounding vibe. A choice of two beautiful rooms to offer classes in, spacious and comfortable bedrooms with quality bed linen, peaceful location with great access to walks and the beach. With a really supportive team to help you bring your event together, I highly recommend Skendleby not only as a retreat venue but a wonderful hall for any event or large family staycation.

Wow, what a great self-catering house. Had my husband’s 50th birthday week here, we held a murder mystery on Saturday night for 26 guests. The drawing room made a great place to hold it. The rest of the week was just relaxing with family and the dogs.

It is a great place to hold a family event.

Marc Littleworth

We book Skendleby Hall for a week, for a 50th Birthday celebration with close friends and family. We arranged for caterers to come in on the Saturday, who used the main kitchen with ease as we used the Drawing Room for Dinner and to hold the Murder Mystery event we planned, with 6 actors coming along to assist. All areas were clean and tidy, with all the main areas redecorated including some bedrooms since we booked, which look amazing. Amanda and Julie, were both on hand during the week for any questions or concerns we had, and responded swiftly when contacted to resolved any concerns raised.

We hired for the weekend of our Golden Wedding Anniversary. 22 family members almost fully occupying the lovely bedrooms. We had an amazing time and the Hall fulfilled all our dreams. Dinner at the Blacksmiths Arms was superb if a little delayed and their staff friendly and accommodating. I just wish we could find an excuse and funds for a return stay, it would be really nice in the summer, sitting in the hot tub, enjoying the beautiful view with the fragrance of hot food sizzling on the BBQ wafting around us. Hmm, maybe we could find a reason after all!

Lovely house with very good facilities. Everything is very well maintained and is comfortable. You need to have a car but otherwise it’s a good location with plenty of places to visit.

Tayne Netherwood-Bray

I’ve never actually reviews Skendleby but I shall now. Having been to their other property, Pine Lodge for a number of special birthdays and unfortunately, it’s now no longer. I got in contact with Ruth about Skendleby for my gather in-laws birthday. Skendleby is absolutely gorgeous, lovely bedrooms, plenty of space and much more. The grounds that Skendleby sit on are just lovely. Would highly recommend to everyone looking at a special gathering.

As visitors from Canada, our weekend wedding experience at this large country home was very special. The rooms are spacious, comfortable, and well appointed. Beds and linens were top quality and many rooms came with splendid views. Owners were super helpful. The beach is a fun, 20 minute drive away. Highly recommended for all ages. We were impressed.
