This Georgian house is the perfect venue to relax and unwind with family and friends. Come and be inspired by the same panoramas that inspired the likes of Wordsworth and Ruskin. It is fully furnished with all the modern luxuries but holds true to its period character. Light and spacious reception rooms together with 8 elegant en-suite bedrooms ensure guests experience the Lake District at its very best.

Silverholme Manor includes use of the Coach House, which can be set up as a play area for the children or table tennis, a second dining room, a venue for private house parties and corporate events. Hiring Silverholme Manor also includes Coachman’s Cottage, a one bedroom self-contained cottage only a few yards from the Manor house itself – bringing the total number of guests to 18.

There are 2 x BBQs, 1 pizza oven, a fire pit and direct access to Lake Windermere. The views of the Lake and surrounding woodlands and the tranquility this provides in the private 12 acres around the house are unparalleled.

Walking trails from the house – around the Lake, as well as across the 5000 acre estate with stunning table top views of the valleys and local waterways.

On-site activity company Graythwaite Adventure providing 4×4 off-road driving, clay pigeon shooting, archery, axe throwing, bushcraft and RIB tours on the Lake.

Swimming Pool Access (private slots bookable in our indoor heated pool).

Historic villages of Hawkshead (where William Wordsworth went to school), Far Sawrey and Near Sawrey (home to Beatrix Potter) and the hugely acclaimed Michelin starred restaurants of Cartmel and the locality.

Grizedale Forest for Go Ape, bike routes and Segways.
