House Fact

Low Graythwaite Hall or Graythwaite Old Hall dates from the sixteenth century.

Edmund's Choice of Extraordinary Feature

“Low Graythwaite is a 16th-century hall on the Sandys family’s 5,000-acre Lake District estate – sister property to Silverholme. The peacocks wandering the lawn are a nice touch, but the real thing is the on-site adventure outfit: 4×4 driving, archery, axe-throwing, paddleboarding on Windermere. Most of what you’d usually have to drive about for is right there.”
