Wow! What a truly special place. I organised for a group of 20+ to spend the weekend at Middleton Castle and we really had an incredible time. The history here is really quite amazing – the entire castle is full of wonderful paintings, books and unique features. Even with a very large group, the sheer scale ensures that everyone had ample personal space and privacy. Tom and Polly really looked after us over the weekend itself, and the event was very well organised by Ali in the lead up. All in all, a totally unique experience and one which I couldn’t recommend more!

There is access through a gate at the end of Mount Park Close, it is hidden away somewhat. When we visited the field was full of the most friendly sheep, various different breeds. I think they were waiting to be fed as they kept following us. Definitely not a place for dogs. Not too much left of the Motte and Bailey. There is a good information board. You can climb the slope to the top.

Amazing venue, the best weekend I’ve had for years. An incredible place suitable for events of all types. The property and grounds are incredibly well maintained, serious care and attention from the owners. I was really impressed with the hotel quality amenities, sheets, towels, showers etc. Recommended caterers were also incredible. Don’t procrastinate, get it booked, super venue.

The most impressive and authentically beautiful house I’ve stayed in. The owner is clearly of great style and taste. It is also comfortable and well thought out. I thoroughly enjoyed my time there and for a few days, I felt transported to a different world. I miss the geese.

A true hidden gem nestled in the heart of the Norfolk countryside. This exquisitely preserved historical castle offered us a unique opportunity to experience luxury in a truly extraordinary setting.

We had intimate gatherings with friends in the grand social kitchen, complete with a magnificent large table which hosted breakfasts, chats, drinks and midnight snack attacks…..A traditional wood-panelled dining room for a formal dinner with gowns, then the billiard room for cocktails… we almost expected to see James Bond himself emerge from around the corner. Well actually he did, in the form of the birthday boy!

Middleton Castle has beautiful modernizations throughout its many rooms, which ensured my comfort / pampering without sacrificing its historical charm. Complete with a moat, we had the entire castle to ourselves, a world away from the everyday. Which was indulgent bliss.

Those that know me know I love a little luxury therefore I have stayed at many beautiful hotels and houses around the world and I have to stay this rates as one if not the best. The owners have clearly thought of your every need both inside of the house and curated a very special environment to spend time with friends and family. The views are breathtaking and while I cant swear the peacocks are 100% tame they aren’t far off. We cant wait to go back to try to recreate the magic that the past few days has created.

Wow what a magnificent stay. I highly recommend if you want to escape the “real world” I left feeling recharged and energised. The beauty is next level both inside and out. The grounds are stunning to explore and then the comfort and ease of the house was truly next level. Take me back!!!

A truly magical venue for a birthday party. From the moment we drove up and saw the house for the first time to when we left, everything was perfect. The owner is very approachable and helpful and I couldn’t be happier with how everything went. I cannot recommend Middleton Castle enough.

A magnificent castle with stunning interiors set in the most beautiful grounds. Our host, Tom, along with the resident peacock, made us all feel so welcome. Middleton Castle is much more than just a rental property, we were made to feel like it was our home. Highly recommended. Thank you Tom.

What a magical place. If I could leave more than 5 stars I would. Having been lucky enough to spend 3 nights at Middleton Castle for a birthday celebration with friends, I can’t believe how perfect everything was. The house is so beautiful and homely. The bedrooms are stylish, and the beds are insanely comfortable! We arranged for catering on the Friday night and Saturday lunch outside in the gardens. The house lends itself to big celebrations. Thank you, Tom, for all your help.

What an incredible venue! Absolutely stunning setting with all you could wish for when staying with a group of family and friends. Balances the original features of the castle with carefully designed modern bedrooms and bathrooms. Can’t wait to return

What an amazing place to stay. I have been lucky enough to travel pretty widely in UK and abroad and I can say that Middleton Castle is right up there as a unique and stylish location. The room had the elegance of old world country house , fused with modern living . The service was excellent throughout. I would thoroughly recommend it as a place to hold an event – wedding, large family party etc. thank you for looking after us so well.

This has got to be the most wonderful building to stay at in all of Britain, it is absolutley stunnng, hidden away in the beautiful Norfolk countryside, you would never suspect it was even there until you find the modest entrance way and drive up the long driveway through trees, round a bend and there it is, a real blast from the past. Can’t recomend it enough for a magical getaway!

What an incredible space. We were absolutely delighted to find out the event was going to be held at the stunning Middleton Castle. Our room had been recently renovated and was very confortable. Middleton Castle is quite literally magical. Moated and medieval and inside decorated in the most beautiful, comfortable, warm and welcoming style with every amenity. The beds are deliciously comfortable, bathrooms stylish and up to date. The atmosphere is cosy despite its size and my stay there will be remembered forever. I cannot recommend it more, be it for a Christmas getaway with several families, or a big birthday or a wedding, it will not disappoint. We had a marquee on the island, in the bosom of the house which they flood lit, illuminating the resident wildlife as they bobbed along the moat. It’s thoroughly romantic and your hosts could not be more welcoming, kind, generous and fun. Go!

We had a rare, memorable and exquisite stay at Middleton Castle. The rooms have been done up beautifully and the views are wonderful. I highly recommend making a weekend trip, or it would make the most fantastic venue for a wedding or party!

Wow, what an experience. Such an incredibly imposing building, absolutley stunning inside and out and our room and facilities were amazing, the bed was so comfortable I didn’t want to get out of it for the delicious cooked breakfast I could smelll wafting up from the kitchens. A spectacular night away.

An interesting site, really tucked away, had a job to find it. Well worth a visit. If you climb to the top there are some good views.
