Elm Lodge is a recently refurbished Arts & Crafts home in the Cumbrian hills that blends vintage charm with contemporary comfort. The property has 11 tastefully decorated bedrooms accommodating up to 22 people. Three floors make up the thoughtfully designed layout. The first floor has seven bedrooms, three sharing well-equipped bathrooms and four with private bathrooms. There are four additional bedrooms on the second floor; two share a bathroom and two have their own. Kingsize, double, twin, or bunk beds are available for the bedrooms.
The ground floor’s areas have been designed to facilitate easy mobility while enjoying leisure activities. The spacious drawing room has a cosy wood-burning stove, and the light-filled conservatory opens directly onto the formal garden. The property features a dining room that can accommodate 26 people, round one large table, a billiards room with full sized billiard table, and a cosy morning room. It is adjacent to a fully furnished kitchen with a professional-grade range cooker and two pantries.
Numerous helpful amenities are available, such as a large utility room with two washing machines and a tumble dryer. Surrounded by peaceful woods that act as a natural barrier for seclusion and tranquillity, the property has two hot tubs and a BBQ terrace outside.
The property’s heating system uses oil.

Edmund's Choice of Extraordinary Feature
“I’m an enormous fan of an Arts & Crafts house, they’re invariably well-planned and pleasing spaces to be within. Elm Lodge is no exception, and has been beautifully renovated. I particularly admire the deep raspberry-pink walls and carpet of the billiards room.”

This was the perfect house for a family party. The house itself exceeded expectations in style and decor. The location, gardens and views are stunning. Everything you could possibly want is provided. The owners were on hand to welcome us and continued to provide help and information with minor queries over the weekend. We will definitely come back again.
