The Hall at Denton Reserve is a lovingly restored, Grade I listed country house set within 2,500 acres of private Yorkshire parkland near Ilkley. With a history dating back to the 1760s, it was designed by renowned Georgian architect John Carr of Harewood House.

Available for exclusive hire, the Hall is yours to take over entirely — whether for a wedding, family gathering celebration or corporate retreat. With 10 individually designed ensuite bedrooms in the main hall and a further 16 bedrooms across the east and west wings, it sleeps up to 52 guests across 14,000 square feet of beautifully reimagined space.

The interiors draw deeply from the landscape that surrounds them: moorland, ancient woodland and the dramatic contours of the Yorkshire Dales. A natural, pared-back palette and carefully chosen sustainable materials honour the hall’s original period architecture while softening it — bringing the outside in, and the inside to life.

Expect super-king beds, rain showers and roll-top baths, Chapter Organics toiletries, handcrafted furniture and bespoke contemporary lighting. The kitchen is hand-crafted, the bar is private, and a baby grand piano anchors the orangery with quiet elegance. Gather around the handmade 24-seat oak dining table in the house kitchen for intimate dinners — or open the doors to the private dining room, which seats up to 100. Continue the evening in the Games Room with a reclaimed bar, leather sofas, jukebox and a full-size snooker table.

Outside, the terrace invites lawn games and open-air dining, while the estate’s grounds unfold across miles of trails through wildflower meadows, ancient woodland and alongside glittering lakes. Swim wild from the private jetty, or unwind in the wood-fired sauna tucked into the trees.
