Great place to visit.

Really sorry to downvote this attraction, however we came for afternoon tea with some distant family we had not seen for months. 5/5 for the location and service from the waitress, however she stated that the chefs had gone home and brought out the tea. 4 small 1/3 sandwiches between 2 which were stale on top, indicating they had been sat out for a while. Likewise with the clotted cream, Luke warm and slightly off. My son was given his own cream tea that had more food that the adults. I looked after on the website and confirmed that we were given 1/2 -2/3 of what we should have been served.

The only real downside was that we had to pay prior to arriving and therefore we could not argue the bill

Cowdray House exceeded all of our hopes, dreams and expectations, and they were high enough to start with. From the very first moment, it felt like somewhere truly special. I knew that Cowdray House was my preferred place to get married when I first visited around ten years ago, and that feeling never faded. When we later visited Cowdray House together with a view to booking it for our wedding day, we both instantly agreed that it was perfect and had absolutely everything we were looking for.

The exclusivity of the venue, the breathtaking setting and sense of privacy, the beautiful décor, ambience and layout, as well as the stunning bedrooms, swimming pool and bowling alley all combined to create something truly exceptional. Every space felt thoughtful, elegant and designed to make the experience unforgettable, both for us and for our guests. However, what truly elevated Cowdray House to another level was the service we received throughout the entire process. From the planning stages through to the day itself, the team went above and beyond in every possible way.

Sam and Neil in particular were outstanding and made sure every detail was taken care of, leaving us completely confident and able to enjoy every moment. On the day itself, the whole team were absolutely brilliant. We were made to feel so special from start to finish, and nothing we asked for ever felt too big or too small. Every element was executed flawlessly and with such care, warmth and professionalism.

We got married four weeks ago now and our guests are still talking about how incredible the day was. So many have commented on how magical the venue felt and how much Cowdray House contributed to the atmosphere and overall experience. It truly played such a huge part in making our wedding everything we had hoped for and more.

I cannot explain how happy I am that we chose Cowdray House for our wedding venue. We did um and ah as it was right on the edge of our budget, but it was worth the stretch. It was a joy to be there, we were able to make a real weekend out of it which is a great option when weddings fly by so quickly. We were able to play a fun game of separate the bride and groom the day before across the various rooms in the house, which between the indoor heated pool, the bowling alley and the beautiful drawing rooms involved a number of successful rotations. The Cowdray team were phenomenal. There was nothing too much trouble for them to help us with, be it: helping us move from room to room as we enjoyed the house, laying out the picnic food we’d brought for the day before beautifully (we’d originally assumed we’d just sort it in the kitchen ourselves), letting us use/move/decorate Cowdray’s more obscure sculptures on the day, lining up wellies of different sizes for all our guests to go for a walk, or checking in with us / always being at hand nearby to answer any questions. Like many others, we went here for a wedding which was absolutely stunning. Whatever you have imagined as a British countryside wedding is exactly what this place delivers. If you’re here for a wedding, stay in the nearby town of Midhurst which has a quaint downtown full of little shops and restaurants.

Stayed for 2 nights and it was beautiful. What a lovely home and estate

Words cannot describe how fabulous Cowdray House is. We were lucky enough to hire the house for our wedding weekend in May and the team there especially Erin could not have made us and our guests feel more welcome. They did so much to make our weekend the most special time for both us. So much so that our guests could not stop raving about how amazing the venue and the team were, they didnt want to leave. The house is gorgeous, the grounds are stunningly breathtaking, it almost felt like a destination wedding as we were lucky enough to have such great weather. In terms of the event, everything went without a hitch thanks to the meticulous planning of Erin the team at Cowdray House. It was without doubt the most fantatic weekend and if you are looking for a wedding venue or you are planning a special occasion you should definitely consider Cowdray House. We would also like to thank our Florist Karen from This Floral Life. The flowers that she created for us for the ceremony and wedding reception were stunning, really outstanding. Karen and her team were so helpful and very creative we were over the moon, thank you Karen. Overall 5 stars are not enough!

Had the most amazing time here at Mel and Graham’s wedding. Hands down the best wedding/ place/ service I was ever at. Youd be mad not to stay here. Xx

Had a beautiful stay last weekend. Whole house to ourselves. My nephews wedding reception held there. Beautiful building beautiful rooms food excellent surroundings breathtaking .facilities second to none staff couldn’t do enough for you. The Americans were impressed and the Scots guests were delighted with the service they received.. would definitely return we were lucky with weather too which was great for pictures. The bride and groom savannahs and Alastair went away on honeymoon knowing they had the best day of their lived and so did their families.

Unbelievablely beautiful venue. Just breath taking. Views from all aspects of the house and just a wonderful blend of old and new in every aspect of the decor. Attended a wedding as a bridesmaid and was honestly made to feel like royalty by the staff. Truly unforgettable experience in an unforgettable venue.

I wanted to say a HUGE thank you to everyone at Cowdray and the events team for really pulling together an incredible event and experience for us at Cowdray House, it really couldn’t have gone any better and we even got the weather to top it all off. Thank you for making the event run as it did and helping us plan before hand, being flexible and allowing us to create an incredible retreat for our guests. You made it really feel like a family & friends environment which is so important to us whilst your team had a very professional back office & organized manner which is really hard to get the balance of both, but you guys really did and it showed over the two days. Thanks again!!! It was an incredible few days and the feedback from all guests has been overwhelming.

Cowdray House is the most fantastic and beautiful venue to have a wedding. We have just got married on 19th March 2022 and we cant thank the Cowdray team enough. What can I say. what a perfect place for a wedding. The setting is outstanding with views to die for.

We had a wonderful 2 days at Cowdray Park for a team event – gorgeous rooms, beautiful food, plenty of space and entertainment for the group in such a stunning settling. Highly recommended.

Had a great weekend away here thus summer with my good friend and we were lucky with the weather and sunbathed in the courtyard by the pool. The spa was fantastic as was the food. Lovely boutique place to stay.
