Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Glansevin. Alethea was a wonderful host and the whole family had a great time

We got married at Glansevin in June and it was the perfect venue for us! Kerina and Alethea were so friendly and helpful throughout the planning process, and the staff we hired from them to help on the day did an absolutely fantastic job. Our family stayed at the mansion for the weekend and we all had the best time. Would highly recommend this venue for anyone planning a DIY wedding.

It has been an absolute pleasure dealing with Kerina at Glansevin Mansion. We arrived at the beautiful Mansion in the spring to look around; Kerina was warm and welcoming, and so helpful when we explained our plans for a big family and friends celebration. Nothing was too much trouble, Kerina is open and engaging with everything. We had ‘carte blanche’ to organise and celebrate our weekend exactly as we wanted. If you are looking for a beautiful venue and wish to tailor make your own party/gathering/celebration, Kerina will greet you with a huge smile!

A lovely Georgian mansion with multiple rooms and a decent sized kitchen! Set in peaceful, beautiful grounds. Ideal for a big family. The host was very helpful.

Absolutely incredible weekend! Glansevin was the place we chose for our wedding venue and it did not disappoint. Everything was amazing, the staff, the organisation, everything! I would recommend this place time and time again!

Glansevin Mansion is truly a perfect venue for a fabulous family get-together. We spent a glorious weekend there, and were incredibly well looked after by Alethea, Kerina and the team. Our youngest family member was 1 and the oldest was 94, so four generations represented! Glansevin accommodated us all really comfortably. Everything was so well organised and the rooms and facilities were all brilliant. We loved sitting out on the terrace and watching the kids race around the garden. And the dining space was ideal – we ate, drank and were merry! Glansevin is the perfect mix of comfort, relaxed elegance and practicality. A lot of thought and effort has clearly gone into making it such an easy place to stay. We loved it and really hope to be back there before too long! Thank you to everyone in the team at Glansevin. We just had our wedding at Glansevin Mansion, and what an incredible experience it was! The mansion was absolutely perfect and full of character and uniqueness, which was exactly what we were looking for. Our photographers were having a field day with all the beautiful rooms and breathtaking grounds.

The staff were exceptional throughout. Camila first showed us around, and her passion for the place was infectious and she was so lovely. Kerina was incredibly accommodating and helped us organise how everything would look for the wedding, and she couldn’t have been more helpful. Alethea supported us on the day itself and helped with everything the morning after. She was one of the kindest and most helpful people we could have asked for, truly going above and beyond for us in so many ways.

A massive thank you for hosting us and making our day as perfect as it could possibly have been. My wife and I will never forget this magical place.

Thank you so much!

The Mansion itself is large and the space is flexible to allow everyone staying there to have the best time. The main dining area/events area was a brilliant space and the grounds and surrounding area very beautiful!

We we a large group who had the best time! Thank you!

What a find! Wouldn’t hesitate to return in a second. Camilla and Alethea worked extremely hard to make Christmas 2025 (23-29 Dec) as special as possible. The decor was fabulous. The warming cosy fires and beautiful Christmas trees worked wonders for a joyous Christmas spirit for all 23 of us. It may have been cold outside but my oh my was it warm inside (no matter where you were in the house).

To find a house with mostly ensuite bedrooms to accommodate our family get together has always been a task (even for an events organiser like myself). We hit gold with GLANSEVIN. Even my brother, who is a wheelchair user with limited mobility was able to get around all the rooms on the ground floor and Bedroom 14 worked for him.

The kitchen/diner became our hub! One can’t leave the chief cooks, ‘washer uppers’, commis chef’s, on their own and the space ensured they always had company. It worked perfectly with lots of natural daylight (and winter sun) streaming through the windows in the morning. We changed the seating at the tables in the dining room to chairs rather than benches and then decorated the table with foliage from the gardens and some lights we had brought…. It was hard to leave but the Drawing room proved the ideal room for opening presents around a pretty tree and roaring fire. Exactly what is needed on Christmas Day.

We had the use of the main mansion rooms 1-10+14 and the Tudor Suite (11,12 and 13) was used for a newborn and her parents (very handily tucked away so as not to disturb anyone else’s sleep)….and perfectly acceptable rooms (even if they are graded slightly less for not having an ensuite). The showers were hot, the bedroom sizes perfect, the decor nice and the overall homely feel was appreciated by all.

The surrounding walks deserve a mention, as does Les, the local butcher in LLANGADOG and also the vegetable wholesalers ‘Chris Thomas & Sons’ in Carmarthen (wow, thanks for the recommendations Camilla, their meat and veg were so fresh and tasty).

Thank you Camilla and Alethea for being swift and professional and caring throughout the entire process of booking GLANSEVIN. Your attention to detail was 5* (and I have worked with many 5* hotels in my time) so I do feel qualified to appreciate your skills.

I hope 2026 and beyond brings you lots of visitors… you certainly deserve them….

A beautiful venue at the foot of the Black Mountain, well maintained and expertly managed. They proved an excellent and friendly host to my event, which was successful largely thanks to the quality of the surroundings and the care and attention taken throughout. I intend to return again.

We stayed at Glansevin along with the nearby Carriage Rooms whilst on a rugby tour over a bank holiday weekend. Absolutely fantastic accommodation and perfect for what we needed, Camilla was incredibly helpful through. I can’t recommend it highly enough.

Spent this weekend here. The Manor has an agatha christie feel about it. We stayed in cosy carriage rooms. Very clean and warm with tea and coffee provided. Great venue for a largish social gathering. Plenty of parking. If you like wildlife, go.

5 Stars is Definitely Not Enough A couple of friends and i hired Glansevin for about a week, it was wonderful from the very first minute, it was so homely we didn’t want to leave

The Location of the property is perfect, tucked well away from all the hustle and bustle yet “centrally” located you can get to the beach and other activity/entertainment centres in no time at all.

The building itself well kept, picturesque i must say, lush green lawns and a very well looked after pool and sauna

Hosts were super kind and responsive, answered all queries, and always willing to help, gave us a detailed tour of the facility, paid particular attention to safety of guests, allowed us to use out door BBQ equipment at no extra cost,

Glansevin is not to be missed! Deserves all 5 stars and even more Im definitely going back

What a fantastic venue. I booked Glansevin Mansion for a surprise birthday party weekend for my husband. Camilla and Alethea were brilliant in helping me keep the secret and went above and beyond to make it work. Our guests arrived on the Friday and were absolutely amazed by the beautiful building and grounds. The mansion has excellent facilities for self catering , large kitchen and superb dining room to accommodate large groups with a lovely log fire to add to the cosiness of it all. We had local caterers for the Saturday and they knew the mansion well and worked smoothly . The entire weekend was comfortable and relaxed, we had not had a large gathering for family and friends in a long while and the mansion was perfect for us to eat drink and be merry all together in a wonderful building that felt homely. The sitting room is amazing and we sat and drank bubbles in front of the open fire . The children had plenty of space to roam free and loved the games room, there was a small lounge area next to the dining room where the children could watch TV and still be supervised. Several guests used the plunge pool and sauna, for October the weather was beautiful and it was great exploring the wonderful garden. All of our guests were highly impressed and enjoyed their stay in this magnificent home. It will be talked about for a very long time and we certainly will be back. Thank you Camilla and Alethea.

We hired Glensevin for a 20-year work reunion for 40 of us for a long weekend and it was just perfect. The rooms were spacious and the social areas were fantastic. The 10 kids played hide and seek all weekend and we hardly ever saw them and the pool and sauna (despite October temps) were brilliant fun. Camilla and Alethea were so helpful in the run-up to the weekend and provided so much assistance with the organisation of our event. 1000% recommend. Brilliant space, brilliant value, brilliant staff. Thank you xxx

Victor Nathan

Plush, spacious and well appointed. I enjoyed every moment.

Kelly Lewis

We were lucky enough to have our wedding here in June and had a perfect weekend.

The venue was large enough for all of our family and friends to spend the whole weekend in one place.

The facilities are very good and Camilla and the team were so helpful in the run up and across the whole weekend.

I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this beautiful venue!

Our second family visit to this wonderful characterful house, the first around 14 years ago, and so pleased to see that little has been changed. Still had that feeling of stepping into a much-loved home and quickly settling into a long weekend with an old ‘friend’! The kitchen / dining room was not only a favourite place for all 32 of us to meet up and catch-up, spilling over into the sunny garden for the 9 little boys (the Ferguson tractor was best play equipment ever!) and 1 dog to run around safely but provided space and everything needed to cook and feed everyone. Everyone thought their beds were so comfortable! The lounge was a haven for relaxing at anytime of day and the games’ room was well used. The whole house is so interesting, thank you Camilla for the fascinating insight into the life of Glansevin in bygone times!

Toby Thomas (WP Courses)

Charming venue and perfect for weddings and large gatherings of friends and family. We stayed here with our extended family, 30 of us in total, over the long Easter weekend. Everyone loved the place… the beautiful spacious grounds, nice large rooms, huge beds and great facilities. Glansevin Mansion exudes rustic charm and has everything you need on site.

Louise P

Stunning location, beautiful setting, great facilities and high standards. The perfect place for a family get together and highly recommend.

Elle Hitchens

We spent New Years Eve 2019 here. It’s a fantastic house for large family/friends gatherings. So much space for dining, cooking, dancing, playing games – all of it! The house has a homely feel and not too precious so we were really able to make ourselves at home here. The sauna and pool were a great addition and were loved by all including the children! Everyone had a dip in the freezing winter water over the course of the stay! The house is in a wonderful location with some great walks/days out but in all honesty we found it hard to drag ourselves away from the cosy space at Glansevin.

Tracy Hill

Beautiful homely feel. Great holiday house.
