Landed Houses guests have exchanged over 70 messages with Colehayes Park in the last 12 months.

Colehayes Park is a lovely Grade II listed manor house with 20 acres of gardens and woods surrounding it. The property is very adaptable when it comes to how people sleep. There are twin and double rooms, as well as dorm-style rooms with bunk beds, so it can sleep up to 70 people. Some rooms have separate bathrooms and toilets and shared bathrooms and toilets for others.

The master bedroom is especially nice because it has a four-poster bed, a fancy spa bath, and views that go on for miles across the Devonshire countryside. Cork Cottage has five more bedrooms that can sleep up to eleven people. It also has a kitchen, a living room, and two bathrooms.

The reception rooms in the main house are great for big groups. There is a big catering kitchen that can feed up to 100 people, a retro bar that is great for acting out scenes from Basil Fawlty and a grand dining room that can seat up to 90 people. There is also a big sitting room and a beautiful hall with oak panels in the house.

There are many fun things to do in the basement, like a big lecture room (which is still there from when the house was a Field Centre in the early 1970s), table tennis, pool and table football. The outside of the Victorian Gardens has been beautifully restored, and now there is a boating lake where people can row and relax. There is a stone bridge that goes over the lake, and beyond that are woods that keep the house safe from the moor. Guests can try their hand at archery and clay pigeon shooting at the activity centre on the property. There is also a camping area for people who want to stay in yurts.

Location and Things to Do

Colehayes Park is a Grade II listed manor house set amidst 20 acres of stunning gardens and woodland, located on the edge of Dartmoor in South Devon. The property offers a peaceful and scenic retreat, ideal for large family gatherings and weddings. These towns offer Devon pubs, a bakery, butcher’s, and greengrocer’s. The surrounding area provides plenty of outdoor activities, including walks and cycle trails on Dartmoor. Within the grounds, guests can enjoy a boating lake, restored Victorian gardens, woodlands, and outdoor space for games like French cricket or five-a-side football.

Weddings

Colehayes Park is an excellent choice for couples looking for a unique wedding venue. The property offers a flexible setting for weddings, with multiple places to exchange vows, including the Pagoda, Great Hall, or the steps leading to the gardens. Truly beautiful location, with good quality roads to get there. Quite a few small speed bumps on the road which can be hidden in leaves. Steel ramp for wheelchair users to enter the property, which doesn’t have sides on, so many wheelchair users may find this difficult to use.

What a magical place to stay. We stayed for a weekend for a family funeral and the place is statuesque.

It has a 600 year old Cork tree in the back garden. The gardens are terrific. There is a huge pond and lamas.

Load of space indoors. You can bring your own kegs and have a bar area. There is a nightclub downstairs, a ping pong table, mini fooz ball table and a pool table.

Tonnes of bedrooms and it’s all so pristine and clean. The kitchen table is huge and honestly, we loved it there.

What an excellent venue. Rebecca and her staff are brilliant. They can’t do enough for you.

The gardens would be ace for wedding photos.

It’s magical.

Thank you for helping make our wedding day absolutely perfect! Your support, reliability, and positive energy meant so much to us. We truly appreciate everything you did and would gladly recommend you.

We rented Colehayes Park for a week, for a big family Christmas, and were delighted with it.

We found the venue smart and luxurious enough for our big party, but not too smart that we felt we had to walk on tiptoe everywhere. The children were able to run around and have a good time without us worrying about them breaking any delicate knick-knacks or antique clocks.

The grounds and surrounding area were beautiful. The children loved meeting the llamas, exploring the paths and dropping sticks in the river, and we spent several days walking in different parts of Dartmoor.

The staff were friendly and very helpful, patiently answering my many small questions about organisational detail. It was great to have Rebecca nearby just in case anything went wrong, although nothing did.

All in all we had a wonderful time, and my party of around 42 adults and 10 children were universally impressed by the venue.

Couldn’t recommend Colehayes enough! The venue itself is unbelievable and won’t disappoint, one of the reasons for making our wedding so enjoyable. The booking process was super easy, found a free weekend, spoke to Ellice and within hours had paid our deposit. Would highly recommend viewing the venue both before and after you book so you can plan what you’re doing to it. We loved the fact there was accommodation upstairs, fitted our style perfectly and the guests loved it. Everything bedrooms, toilets, showers) were super clean; everyone loved it and had no complaints. The grounds itself were beautiful and we made sure to made use the fire pit, pool table, ping pong table and lake. We also enjoyed the fact the staff left you to it over the weekend so you could enjoy your time there.was incredibly handy having bar staff and the option of further staff to help out. In the weeks/months leading up to our weeding, Ellice, Rebecca, Briony were all super responsive, happy to answer any question we had and contactable on the day. The only minor frustration we had was the weak wifi connection which impacted the card machine working for the bar, but likely as a result of the location/building. So so glad we booked Colehayes and was one of the main reasons our weeding was so special!

My husband and I hired Colehayes Park and Cork Tree Cottage for a weekend in July 2025 to get married and celebrate with family & friends. From the moment we met Rebecca in August 2023 and began liaising with Ellice & Briony, we just knew it was the place for us. The ability to have ‘free rein’ for the whole weekend and put our own spin on the venue and the type of wedding we wanted was just exactly what we were looking for. The venue and grounds are absolutely stunning and so well kept, and there is just about anything and everything you’d ever need in a venue available. We utilised the helping hands team at Colehayes to assist with serving drinks, canapes & dinner following our wedding, and the team could not have been more helpful! I did not worry about a single thing on the day, which was such a weight lifted. All of the attendees commented and said they’d never been to a wedding like it and they all had an amazing time – like a mini holiday (we were also blessed with 26 degrees and sunshine for the 4 days!!). Rebecca, yourself and your team are an asset to Colehayes and the beautiful area surrounding it. We cannot wait to come back and celebrate an annivesary some time in the future. Thank you so much

We could not have asked for a better to venue to celebrate our wedding. We booked colehayes after viewing it as we fell in love with the beautiful grounds and it offered the best flexibility to create our own day as a DIY venue.

Through the booking process and lead up to the day the staff were excellent at communicating and giving us advice. The house itself is very well equipped with everything you might need. On the day itself we had help from the helping hands staff and they were brilliant.

The perfect venue for an amazing wedding weekend. We were able to accommodate the majority of the guests in the house itself and in cork tree cottage. We made use of the beautiful grounds by having our ceremony and meal outdoors, and spent a lovely Sunday swimming and relaxing by the lake, and playing games on the front lawn.

Colehayes offered everything we wanted and more and we could not recommend it strongly enough!

Gareth Bardill

Amazing venue, went to a wedding here, amazing little place!

Luke Penketh

The grounds to the wedding of our dreams. A truly DIY wedding venue that is helpful when needed whilst also offering absolute freedom to create whatever you can imagine. Nobody wanted to leave. This place will always hold a magical place in our hearts. I cannot recommend this place enough.

Ria Bale

I filmed a wedding here recently and honestly didn’t want to leave! It was an absolutely stunning setting for the outdoor ceremony that took place.

The staff were some of the most friendly I have come across while working at weddings, checking that I had eaten and had enough to drink, which as a vendor is rare and hugely appreciated.

The grounds and house are gorgeous which made my job so easy! Would recommend to anyone.

chloe allison

The whole Colehayes team have been brillaint. If you are going for a DIY wedding, this is the perfect place as you have the freedom to do what you want but plenty is supplied by the venue too like crockery, fairylights, accommodation for your guests, optional Helping Hands Team (who were fantastic help on the big day!) and more! Colehayes Park is beautiful and really was a dream to have as our wedding venue.

“Out of His deep love for us, God painted nature with the colors, sounds, and patterns our hearts would cherish.

Colehayes Park holds a glimpse of that divine beauty a place where we can dwell, breathe it in, and be moved.

With all my heart, I thank those who made this wonder possible.”

The first viewing with Rebecca back in July 2023 was fab. We instantly felt it was relaxed and we wouldn’t be micromanaged on our day. For the majority of questions, the answer was yes which was just great. We felt we could completely relax over the weekend and all our guests then treated the house as a big Air B and B and got stuck in with setting up, tidying up and helping themselves to food.

The booking process was easy because we could look on the website for the available dates and the transparency of cost (so many other venues have additional, hidden costs) made it so easy to think about our budget and how it would fit in. We also really wanted somewhere where the majority of our guests could stay on site and it not be a huge additional chunk of money and we wanted a get together on Sunday- again without additional fees. Colehayes just ticked every single one of our boxes

The information being sent through was brilliant because we weren’t bombarded with it all in one email. It was all in manageable chunks and it was clear what information was needed from us and when. It was lovely to touch base throughout the process to give us the opportunity to ask questions and not feel we were hassling you.

The house and grounds…just absolutely stunning. It was lovely to see the gardens in bloom- seeing the wisteria from our room was beautiful. The path to the lake was beautiful where we went to do our first look. Nick got a great photo of us surrounded by the wild garlic. Our family loved reading about the history of the house in the file upstairs and it’s lovely how you’ve kept the old features of the house. Everything was lovely. The rooms were lovely and bright, the bathrooms were great and everyone said how they didn’t need to wait at all for showers and didn’t care that they were shared. Mum also said the cottage was beautiful and we would definitely stay there again as a family!

The whole weekend just felt smooth and relaxed which was exactly what we were hoping for.

Aaron Miller

Lovely venue, amazing for hosting events, would recommend this venue!

Fantastic place with super helpful staff, they made the process super easy and were (mostly!) very quick to respond to any queries or questions prior and any questions or issues during our stay. It was a brilliant Christmas house for our large family and I cannot recommend enough – hopefully we’ll be staying again in a couple years time!

David Maddocks

Christmas 2024 for 5 days. What a wonderful place to stay and explore…this wonderful building nestles on the edge of Dartmoor. Built during the Napoleonic times it is sturdy and imperious. We were a group of around 47 individuals…around 15 children and the rest supposedly adults!!! Plenty of different spaces to relax in or enjoy music or watch the television. The facilities met our needs and the children were never bored. Where we needed help with finding things, turning things on …and off…help was at hand ..thank you Barbara :). I loved the cork oak tree and just walking through some of the grounds. Cooking the evening meals for 47 of us was a challenge but the kitchens were well stocked with the appropriate utensils and crockery. On leaving day we had an excellent guide and mentor in Caron!! She helped guide us through what to put where and where to put the rest!!! Thanks Caron, you’re a star!!!! We’ll come here again…so much to offer as a venue and the fantastic surrounding area….and Caron :)!! Thank you Colehayes!!!

I just had my wedding here on Saturday 23rd. Beautiful venue and grounds. Spacious accommodation that allowed our family and friends to come down from everywhere. Big kitchen facility so we could use our own caterers (thank you Julie’s Bakes Devon). They said there was plenty of prep, cooking and fridge/storage space). Unfortunately we got married during the storm so very few of our guests were able to see the grounds or have photos outside which was a shame as it is beautiful. The building itself is beautiful.

Rebecca B

We got married at Colehayes Park on 12th October 2024 (during red ivy season) and it was the most perfect venue for our big day – there were no other venues that included exclusive use of the whole property including 70 beds for 3 nights all for the cost of what other venues charged for one day! Being a DIY wedding, everything was exactly as we’d hoped it’d be as we could decide on all the finer details – the team are Colehayes Park are very helpful and very relaxed (there’s no secret rules or hidden charges – what you see is what you get!) We had the most magical wedding day and it was very special to have another 2 nights in the venue with our close family and friends after the big day! We swam in the lake on the Sunday morning and had a cosy log fire Sunday evening which finished the weekend perfectly 🙂

Lewis Lloyd-Kinnings

We had our wedding at Colehayes Park and would wholeheartedly recommend anyone else do the same! It’s a beautiful venue set in gorgeous grounds, and the flexibility they offer allowed us to design the wedding exactly our way – from a quiet Friday dinner, to Saturday morning lake swim, a wonderful ceremony next to the cork tree; ending with a live band, then DJ set in the Rave Cave.

The whole team were easy to deal with, very professional, accommodating and pleasant – both in the build-up to the weekend, and also on the day when we used some of their staff to help with the dinner and bar service.

Hope to go back!

Colehayes was the most perfect venue for our wedding – we fell in love with it as soon as we walked around. As a DIY venue and being able to hire it for the entire weekend, it provided everything we wanted. In the buildup to the big day, Rebecca, Briony and Ellice were always happy to answer our queries and allow us to visit the venue multiple times to allow us to plan for our wedding. For the weekend, we were warmly welcomed, with Rebecca and Briony on hand to help and talk us through any questions we had. The house and gardens were fantastic, and our guests loved being able to celebrate our wedding over an entire weekend. This venue offers so much to make your wedding perfect and to be able to make the weekend your own, and you really are able to make the house your own whilst you are there. Would highly recommend for anyone as a wedding venue.

Joanna Tarnowska

We had an absolutely fabulous wedding weekend at Colehayes – despite temperamental weather! Rebecca, Cathy and her team were great and very helpful. Definitely recommend the location as a wedding venue.

Billy And Georgia

Colehayes was the perfect venue for our wedding day/weekend. We knew from the begginging a 1 day venue wasn’t enough for our friends and family who would be travelling from the southern hemisphere.

Having exclusive use of the house and grounds all weekend was brilliant and all ours guest loved being able to make themselves at home, pour their own pints and even enjoyed being given a job or two to make sure the wedding day was perfect!

The entire team are just the loveliest bunch to work with throughout the whole experience from initial booking and viewing through to checkout! The incredible helping hands team also need a special shout out for making sure the BIG day went off without a hitch!

We can’t thank you all enough and can’t wait to visit again soon!

incredible venue only surpassed by the amazing staff. For the two years planning the wedding, Briony, Ellice and team were super fast and helpful with assisting with the many moving parts. On site, all the team were super lovely, attentive and friendly. Couldn’t recommend this place more to get married. Beautiful grounds to hang out with family and friends (and the llamas) in the sun, super fun venue to have an intimate wedding with an all night party!

Alan

Wonderful venue for wedding and food especially noteworthy

Sonya Killip

Absolutely stunning and the most magical venue for my daughter’s Wedding! There was plenty of room and lots of advice and help on hand throughout the weekend. Highly recommended.

Calum Teeling

Absolute stunning venue for our wedding. We could not have asked for better. An amazing weekend that all our guests were able to enjoy because of the venue.

Will Mytum

We had our wedding here in September 2023 and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. The staff are just fantastic, with great communication the whole way through the process, always striving to help and solve problems. The venue itself is stunningly beautiful but also practical enough that you can feel comfortable to do whatever you want without fear. We found it great value and offering more flexibility and freedom than other similar venues. We couldn’t recommend it enough.

Abbey Kearley

Beautiful place, we went for a wedding and the grounds are stunning. The garden is beautiful and the rooms are clean and tidy. They also have a basement where there’s a Poole table and table tennis table. They have llamas in the field too and it was just a really lovely place to be and spend time. 100% recommended for weddings and events.

Mark Hailwood

If you want to make a weekend of it then Colehayes is the place for you! We loved the whole set up, the freedom of doing the wedding DIY – it was easy to find local businesses and suppliers with experience of working with/at the venue – and we didn’t struggle to find things or work stuff out when we were there, partly because the venue were great at giving us all the info we needed in advance.

We couldn’t recommend Colehayes highly enough, it was just perfect for what we wanted, and we have so many great memories from across the site (swimming in the lake with the llamas watching on; ceremony and disco in the hall; pizza in the sun out the front; a picnic on the front lawn; drinks reception and BBQ on the top lawn; speeches at the pagoda… you really can make great use of the whole site). Our guests came away saying it felt like a holiday and a wedding rolled into one!

Kerry Corley

The most incredible venue for our wedding. Briony, Rebecca, and Elice were amazing throughout the planning process allowing my parents to visit many times. Would completely recommend as your own personal slice of Devon with pagoda and the most incredible cork tree, bonfire area, swimming lake complete with (yes of course) llamas(!?), and the rave cave a total winner so there’s no curfew – we partied til 3am! Amazing that everyone could stay on-site too, including a nice cottage in the gardens and airbnb on-site for family.

Ravenswood Media

Attended recently as guests. What a fantastic venue! Picturesque, well maintained, with a huge variety of activities and interesting rooms & gardens. The lake was a personal highlight. Thoroughly recommended if you are considering a venue like this.

Elma Sax

We had a great party here! We had a live band room with a jam session and performances that we set up ourselves, it was very special!

I would love to come back and perform for weddings and parties here! Hopefully I can get involved there this summer as my family are super local!

Rob Grist

Beautiful location for wedding. I am a wedding photographer and Colehayes ticks all the boxes for getting great images from a wedding day, from the architectural aspects of the main house to the ornate gardens and the rustic feel around the lake.

Mikey Levelle

Hosting my 40th birthday with close friends and family over the August Bank holiday weekend, I could not have hoped for a more idillic location. The Colehayes crew were always at hand to help, from start to finish and it was the most memorable weekend. The perfect venue!

Josie Burt

We got married at Colehayes Park in December, it was our absolutely perfect venue which allowed us to have so much time to just spend with friends and family. In the winter it feels so cosy, they decorated a beautiful big Christmas tree and inbetween events over the weekend guests sat infront of the fire catching up.

Keeley Weeks

An AMAZING venue, from our first contact with Rebecca following a cancelled covid wedding we were made to feel welcome and couldn’t wait to marry here. Having all our friends and family staying on site was so special and having free reign on suppliers and timings suited us down to the ground. All tables, chairs table cloths, plates glasses etc were all at the house which we found wasn’t the case at some venues offering DIY setups. Sam on site during our stay was incredible and always happy to help and Ellice and Bryony were quick to answer all our pre wedding questions. Wonderful memories made here and will always have a special place in our hearts so thank you x

Gareth Hainsworth

Beautiful location on the edge of the Moor. Ideal for wedding events. Everything you could need in the surroundings of a 16th century house. Fab gardens and lakes. We experienced a magical atmosphere although that may have been due to the company of friends. Bloody marvelous.

Jason Pierce

Amazing party, beautiful location, fabulous house. Loved it . Great wedding location

Fantastic wedding venue. Very old fashioned.

We had a wonderful wedding weekend at Colehayes. It is a beautiful venue and ideal to spend quality time with family and friends over your wedding weekend. Here are some of the pros and cons we experienced.

Pros: – We loved being able to pick our own vendors and determine our own schedule for the weekend. The freedom to structure your weekend as you see fit is a huge plus. – Kathy’s team is excellent. They really made an effort to keep things running smoothly and make our guests happy. – The scenery and setting are ideal. Many guests were able to relax in the surroundings. They also enjoyed that it was a weekend long wedding. – The various spaces you can use inside and outside of the venue are useful. For example, we held our welcome dinner with games in the front garden, drinks reception in the back garden, etc. The games room in the basement was very popular with our guests to continue the party after hours.

Cons: – We overall found Colehayes frustrating to get in touch with during our planning process. Emails regularly would take a day or more to be answered. When there was a weekend where we urgently needed an answer to a question, we had to repeatedly call and email to get a response. – We felt the numbers Colehayes tells you can fit in their various rooms are exaggerated. We were initially told 90 people could fit in the dining room. We ended up with a wedding breakfast of 55 people and that felt relatively full. I can’t see more than 60-70 fitting in there comfortably. This was true for other rooms as well.

Overall this is a very DIY venue which means a lot of freedom in what you can do, but also that you will be doing more than you may normally do at a more inclusive or catered venue. In the end we were happy with how our weekend turned out but that definitely required thoroughness on our part.

Absolutely stunning place, stayed there 2 nights for a wedding, would highly recommend anyone to stay here for any occasion they feel. Just perfect

John Montgomery

We had our daughter’s wedding here and it was one of the most awesome weeks of our life. Rebecca is so wonderfully hands off and the place was basically ours for the 5 days. The gardens are particularly fabulous and the house was huge. We stayed in the cottage, which was also large and fabulous. Such a stunning spot and just minutes from Hay Tor. For the bits where we used the staff, they were so welcoming, fun to be around, and super friendly. Could not have been more perfect.

So so extraordinarily beautiful. The setting, the house, the people all magically created an experience which caught our breath. The history embedded in the very fabric of this building gave resonance and depth to the wedding we attended, the stone floors being danced on and impregnating the tragedies with joy.rebecca and her staff were friendly and informative and fundamentally invested in the best wedding experience you could wish for. An incredible building and grounds. Blessed to have been part of its history.

Diane Street

Lovely big house, ideal for large family gatherings, the grounds are lovely so much space indoors and out. Really enjoyed my stay there for my granddaughters wedding.

Well…where to start? Our experience of Colehayes from start to finish has been fantastic.

Ellice and Rebecca were so welcoming from the beginning. They are fountains of knowledge for recommendations of suppliers as well as Colehayes and its history.

Even when we had to postpone our wedding twice, they were so flexible and supportive throughout this whole process.

We successfully had our Wedding at Colehayes last weekend. It was the best day we could ever have hoped for. Kathy and her amazing team took care of us over the weekend and it was like a weight was lifted off my partner and I. They helped from keeping the manor impeccably clean to cooking a breakfast for around 70 people the day after our wedding. We could not have been happier!

Thank you everyone at Colehayes from the bottom of our hearts. You have been incredible.

We will be back to visit soon I’m sure! Will & Tom xx

We visited with friends in March and had an amazing stay. The house was perfect for a large group and the grounds are beautiful too. There were really no negatives to report, the communication from Ellice throughout was helpful and friendly. Thanks so much for a brilliant weekend.

We had the most incredible wedding weekend at Colehayes and would highly recommend anyone considering it as a venue to go for it – you will not regret it. From the first moment we visited the house 15 months before the wedding, through all the additional visits, planning and the eventual weekend, we found the staff could not do enough to help, support and reassure. Being able to make it our own for the weekend was incredible and we haven’t stopped getting comments from all our guests about how much they loved it. Colehayes will always have a special place in our hearts.

From the moment we viewed the venue we had such an incredible feeling. It certainly didn’t disappoint on our wedding day. Not only us but all of our guests were taken back by its beauty. Such a special place to get married and treasure memories created and made forever. Thank You Colehayes ❤️

Debbie Jarvis

the staff were great, it felt really homely and the grounds were a wonderful place to explore.

The best day of our lives. we loved the freedom of Colehayes, and as we had been living abroad for a few years before our wedding, a 3 day wedding was exactly what we wanted. The grounds and house are spectacular, the staff are so helpful. We loved every minute

Steev Davis

The house and grounds are stunning, the house staff were on top of everything we wanted and we all had a great time. More details in my Google review but suffice to say we highly recommend Colehayes Park to anyone looking to host a party at a glorious location!

Vicky Webster

i felt like a kid in a sweet shop with this place. every thing was perfect. so many places to explore. i litterly felt like a princess running through the house. the staff are an asset too. they were brilliant to have around. i felt like it was my own family cooking us breakfast. wonderful people x thanks for a great experience

Beautiful place, and so relaxed! We loved the fire pit, we loved the lake, we loved the old cork tree, we loved the gardens, we loved the basement with all the games, we loved the gardens, we loved having a bar and lounge and disco room and late night rave cave so everyone can do their own thing at the party but still all be close together and inter-connected so you can swap from one bit to the next. We loved how flexible and supportive the staff were. And most of all we loved having all of our friends and family on site for the whole weekend – what luxury… We hope to come back at some point for a reunion/anniversary gathering!

This place is AMAZING. My partner and I didn’t want a traditional wedding, so we made up our own plans to celebrate our partnership and Colehayes was just the most incredible place to hold it. Loads of friends and family stayed on site so everyone could pitch in and have a full weekend to catch up, including group breakfasts and Friday night fun. We had a bonfire in their cosy fire pit, a procession over their bridge with the stunning views from the drive, a ceremony in the beautiful pagoda, a picnic lunch in the lovely gardens, a group swim in the incredible private lake, a colour run (which Rebecca very generously let us use her private garden for), dinner in a marquee on the lawn with the help of the incredible Colehayes staff, a party with a band in the house, which also has a comfy lounge for cake-eating/having a rest from the dancefloor and a great bar with amazing views, and then an after-party in the basement (with pool/table tennis for those who wanted something quieter than the rave cave), plus an acoustic singalong on the piano at 3am, before hangover breakfast on the Sunday and a walk up to Haytor’s Rock. Where else would that possibly all have been possible in one place? It felt absolutely magical and so many of the people who came said it was one of the best weekends of their life, in an incredible setting.

Our daughter was married at Colehayes on Saturday and it was a wonderful weekend – beautiful location and venue, super staff who were so kind and friendly.

Colehayes was the most perfect venue. It was a relaxed setting with wonderful staff, who made the whole weekend fly by. Kathy and her team were fantastic, organised and very efficient. We couldn't have done it without them! I couldn't have asked for a better atmosphere, where all guests could relax and enjoy their surroundings. We managed to fit 58 people under one roof comfortably and many guests quoted, that it was the best wedding they had ever been to. It does take time and effort to decorate and make Colehayes personal to you, but it is worth it. Here are a few wonderful people we used: Wedding Breakfast: The Kitchen Table Evening Entertainment: Bespoke Disco Florist: Peamore Florist/ Barn Florist Photograph: Philippa Oxley Photography

We got married at Colehayes in 2015. It is a spectacular location and there is the availability to design your own wedding exactly as you want it,and if you fancy a swim in the lake. why not? It was ideal as it was local to family and I would be pushed to find a better venue elsewhere, without losing the personal touch. If you want have a very personalised wedding then this is definitely the location.

Ruth Thompson

This venue is a dream! Being close to family and friends and creating a community for our special day was just what we wanted. The staff made everything super easy and helped whenever we needed them. Our guests and we loved it all.

Wonderful old manor house and beautiful grounds. The staff were lovely too

We recently had a joint 50th birthday party here and it was fabulous! The setting and grounds are beautiful, the house has plenty of space and is very well equipped. We had quite a few children staying and they loved the games room in the basement and the swimming lake was a big hit; there was plenty of outdoor space for them to run around. Most importantly, the staff were excellent- they just quietly got on with setting up the tables, cooking the breakfast, manning the bar and clearing away and washing up, allowing us to relax and enjoy ourselves. Despite the grandeur of the surroundings it has a very homely, welcoming feel. No-one wanted to leave!

We have just returned from 3 nights at Colehayes Park where my daughter was married. The weather was wonderful. The location wonderful. The house ideal for a party of 70 odd staying with 50 more for the evening celebrations. The staff were always helpful and the facilities spot-on. Couldn’t recommend it enough. 10 out of 10

We got married here at the weekend and it was more than we could have dreamed of. Fantastic people, a beautiful sanctuary and so much fun. You can be as creative as you like. It's amazing having your own private mansion and land for the weekend. If you are getting married choose Colehayes! Quick before it gets booked up.

Beautiful location for a wedding.

My daughter and her fiance booked Colehayes Park for the entire weekend (Fri to sun nights) for their wedding. It was a fabulous venue ! We were in the cottage, loads of family and friends stayed in the beautiful bedrooms in the house and some camped. Downstairs there were so many spacious rooms available for all -whether they wanted to dance at the ceilidh, drink in the bar or relax in the lounge . The staff were excellent from start to finish. They served up our buffet in a gazebo in the grounds immediately after the ceremony and then served the sit down meal at 5pm in the dining room, and manned the bar for us too. I cant recommend the hall highly enough. It was just perfect for the relaxed country wedding Beth and Rhys wanted and the DIY bit worked well. The wedding ceremony itself took place in the beautiful little gazebo in the grounds with all the guests sitting in the sunshine in the chairs provided by the hall..and transported to the bottom of the garden by our band of ushers ! The lake was a big attraction on the Sunday and quite a few brave souls..including me..went in !( We were blessed with a gorgeous sunny weekend. ) THANK you to all who made it such a perfect wedding !!!!

The team at Colehayes Park certainly have an excellent venue, stunning setting, very organised, thorough through stages of the planning, communicative when need, put you at ease and always reassuring. What more could you ask from an excellent team that work so hard. Thank you all for creating amazing memories for our friends and families and the both of us

Caroline Lee

Perfect location for a wedding or family gathering, you have the whole house, and the grounds to plan your perfect day. A Great Lake for swimming in. Can’t recommend Colehayes and the team enough.

Kayleigh Hallam

Marv and I got married here last October and it could not have been more perfect if we tried! Colehayes was the only place we viewed and instantly knew we needed it to be our wedding venue! All of the staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming and Kathy and her team were amazing ❤️ We would defiantly recommend Colehays 1000 times over for your wedding venue or any get together you are planning. We will defiantly be back xx

My son and daughter in law had their wedding here. It was a wonderful weekend for all the friends and family who stayed there. The staff who helped on the Saturday were amazing and made the day run like clockwork. If you are looking for a venue for a relaxing DIY wedding this is the place for you.

If you want a DIY wedding in one the most breath taking locations I have ever seen this is for you. Amazing staff made everything so easy and all my guests are demanding a 5 year anniversary party at Colehayes because they loved it so much!

Chris A

In all honesty this was just the absolute perfect venue for our wedding. From first visit to the day itself Rebecca and her team made us feel completely at ease, nothing was too much trouble and their laid back demeanor was very appreciated. The venue itself is breathtaking, from the main house, to the cottage and the beautiful garden, which we were lucky enough to have in full bloom on our day. To top it off photos with our photographer by the lake in the evening was amazing. All of our guests are demanding a 5 year anniversary reunion at the same venue because they all loved it so much!

Miranda En

Myself and some friends attended a wedding here in July, and I can honestly say it was one of the most spectacular wedding venues I’ve ever had the pleasure of attending. The grounds are beautiful and lovely to walk around when you have free time, and taking a dip in the lake first thing in the morning definitely gets you ready for the day ahead! The staff are friendly and professional. I truly could not fault the weekend at all and very much look forward to visiting again

We attended a friend's wedding at Colehayes Park and absolutely loved. Everything added to the best and most gorgeous wedding we have ever been. The huge main house, the beautiful and well-maintained garden, the lake… Every corner was a great place for a photo, particularly in front of the incredibly amazing cork tree. Congratulations for the beautiful place.

Brad Swift

We were at this beautiful place last weekend where I was best man at my best friends wedding, fabulous house, incredible grounds and as an extra bonus the sun shone all weekend. On arrival the manor house was spotless and the gardens were in prestine condition, we were given a free hand to organise the catering and entertainment with staff supplied by Colehayes to help serve and clean up on the day. It was the perfect day at the perfect venue, thank you Rebecca and your polite hard working staff for looking after us and making this a very special weekend, one to remember for all the right reasons.

Frever Georgina

I got married at Colehayes Park and had the most fabulous weekend. It allowed me to justify spending so much on a Wedding that I could hire the place for a long weekend and made it so convenient for me that all of my family could stay in one place and have it feel like their own home, not a hotel. We had the best time and there was literally nothing we could fault about the place Cork tree cottage too is so charming and well situated to enjoy the company of family or the British Countryside. Ellice and Rebecca and all the other staff really made us feel at home and helped in every way they could to make the whole weekend a wonderful success. Thank you and we will be returning!
