Burnhope Lodge sits on the banks of Burnhope Reservoir in the heart of the North Pennines Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, one of the most unspoiled and remote areas of England. It is built on the site of the old Reservoir Manager’s House and is a large, stone-built Victorian style house above the pretty village of Wearhead. The surrounding hill countryside is moorland and heathland, rugged, handsome with uninterrupted views for miles. The Lodge sleeps 21 having 9 available bedrooms, all with en-suite bathrooms, and is available for group bookings throughout the year with a minimum stay of only two nights. It is a comfortable and much-loved family home; all the rooms are different, personal, large and comfortable.

Edmund's Choice of Extraordinary Feature
“Burnhope sits on the banks of its own reservoir, in some of the most genuinely remote country in England – the North Pennines AONB. There’s fishing for four rods straight from the front lawn, hill walks in every direction, and a full-size snooker table for when the weather (which it will) closes in.”
