Duchray Castle in ScotlandThere is something so seductive about Scotland, from its bright and lively cities to its wild countryside. We can’t decide what we love more – the arts and culture of Glasgow and Edinburgh, or the challenges of the Munros, or the seemingly endless beauty of the Scottish coastline.

Dreaming of a party in a Scottish castle? Dancing and singing and feasting – a holiday you, your friends and family, will never forget…

View Houses in Scotland

Scotland has some of the best beaches in the British Isles, and one of our big houses, Roshven, sits in its own bay, overlooking the islands of Rum and Eigg. There’s a boathouse from which you can sail, and it’s all blissfully private.

Or perhaps you would prefer a manor house over-looking Holy Loch? (actually…It’s a castle). Hafton Castle is on the Cowal Peninsula, and you can reach it by crossing the Firth of Clyde. You could take tea on the terrace, over-looking the serenity of the Loch, and reach for a second slice of a whisky-rich Dundee cake.

All of our large houses are available for exclusive-use, and many of them are perfectly suited to weddings or large events. Assynt House, in Rosshire, near Inverness (and its airport), is particularly suited to intimate family weddings – it can seat up to 50 for a wedding breakfast, and welcome up to 150 for a wedding ceilidh.

There are many advantages of hiring a private house, rather than hotel, not least because you can organise things to your own schedule. All of our houses in Scotland have great management teams (often the owners themselves), and are there to ensure you have the best possible stay.

Transport links to Scotland have improved in recent years, and there are regular flights to Edinburgh, Glasgow and Inverness from London and Birmingham. If you’d like to preserve the romance of times gone by, the Caledonian Sleeper is a special treat.

Whatever kind of large property you’re looking for in Scotland, and whatever your plans and budget, we hope we’ll have a big house that is perfect for you.

A Word From Edmund
