Follow the Symonds Yat East, a beautiful country lane that follows the course of the River Wye, and arrive at Wye Rapids House.
This perfectly situated, pet-friendly cottage has been designed with large group holidays in mind, offering indulgent, spacious accommodation for up to 26 people in 11 bedrooms, each with ensuites.
Inside is a large, modern furnished dining room, with superb river views providing a glorious welcoming backdrop to breakfast, brunch or a good book. The doors open out onto a spacious patio and stunning riverside garden, complete with outdoor hot tub – an invigorating way to unwind after a boat trip or wild swim.
The Chef’s kitchen takes self-catering to a whole new level, with a huge prep area and restaurant style ovens, as well as a dedicated glass washer, two dishwashers and huge fridges to store all your supplies.

Where do I start? Not only is this guest house situated in the most beautiful location but Claire and John are two of the most hospitable and kind natured hosts we've ever had the pleasure of meeting. The room was comfortable, clean with the most tremendous view. The breakfast was outstanding with everything you could possibly want, including a gorgeous fresh fruit bowl with honey and yogurt. We thoroughly enjoyed our time here and we're very sorry that when we planned to rebook of learning that Claire and John will moving on soon to their next adventure. The house and bedroom were amazing. The view from our bedroom had the best view of the River Wye than any of the other hotels and accommodation on that stretch of the road. The breakfast was amazing and the fruit bowl was so sweet and delicious too. The hosts were lovely and friendly and nothing was too much trouble for them. We would definitely recommend it to other guests.

Had a lovely stay, Claire and John so friendly, we have stayed here before and love the location of this hotel. Scenic views of the river at breakfast, lovely views from the bedroom. Excellent hosts, great walking, just a lovely place to visit.

We stayed for one night before finishing our Wales trip. We were little late and was little confused on the approach road as i was traveling from US. Clare made us very comfortable and even called the near by place to get a table booked for our dinner. Rooms were very comfortable and breakfast was just awesome. Perfect place for nature lovers.Will surely comeback again.

Me and my partner stayed here on New Year's Eve as a last minute getaway. Gorgeous location and absolutely amazing views from the room. The owners Clare and John were really lovely, perfect hosts who were very warm, welcoming and friendly. They also have 2 lovely cats which was a bonus! Would highly recommend a visit. We will hopefully stay here again at some point!

We stayed for four nights and were lucky enough to enjoy some excellent weather during our stay. The location right by the river is amazing with plenty of nice walks right from the door. Clare and John were fantastic hosts, nothing is too much trouble. The cooked breakfast was superb with good quality ingredients cooked perfectly. Another highlight is the fruit/yogurt also served. All rooms have a river view, ours was a good size with a comfortable bed. A very relaxing few days, I suspect we will stay there again in the future.

Perfect house for family reunion of all ages - in a beautiful setting next to the River Wye. Great to have the pub nearby and lots of lovely walks from the door. The house is well set up with plenty of space and ensuite bathooms for all. We had fun in the ... lounge/bar area which was a useful space for a family quiz, pre dinner drinks and generally relaxing. The dining room was brilliant with views a plenty. The Chef's kitchen was a delight with plenty of equipment to cook for the masses plus the luxury a glass washer, two dishwashers, two tall fridges and a huge freezer. The games room was very popular for all ages! Our host was there to welcome us and was very helpful and friendly.

OMG We were in Room 2, the most beautiful View of the River Wye. My partner left her keys in a drawer and Graham ( General Manager ) got them couried to us for the next day, now that is what you call ' going above and beyond ' thank you SO much Graham, you ... are a Top Man. Symonds Yat is amazing and if you visit make sure you get up to Symonds Yat Rock for that incredible View.Best Wishes Sean & Bryony
