This elegant Victorian country house, set in 11 acres of rolling parkland, is at the end of a sweeping drive with many stunning picture windows framing Weymouth Bay.
The main house sleeps 16 guests and an annex is available for an extra charge of £100 per night for a further two guests in a double bedroom. Six of the eight bedrooms are en-suite with one ground-floor bedroom for those unwilling to climb stairs.
The vast family kitchen and breakfast room warmed by the 4-oven Aga and the original Victorian pine dresser are at the heart of the house. Guests can unwind in the elegant drawing room with its French windows and panelled bay window, on colder days a blazing log fire creates a warm and cosy place to snuggle on the generous sofas.
Below the stairs in the vaulted cellar guests can enjoy billiards in the games room.

Lorton House provided a wonderfully luxurious accommodation for 18 members of our family, plus visiting guests who joined us for meals. The house is elegantly furnished, extremely well equipped and all bedding is of high quality. Everyone ( 3 generations) felt catered for, happy and relaxed. This house lends itself to a sense ... of freedom and enjoyment as well as accommodating our fabulously ‘posh’ dinner in the elegant dining room. Breakfasts and lunches were enjoyed in the comfortable farm house kitchen and adjoining dining area. We cannot speak too highly of Fiona our friendly and helpful host- thoughtful touches, such as a welcome hamper and birthday card, were much appreciated.
