The Pictureworks is a modern and highly versatile retreat, capable of happily hosting up to 20 of your nearest and dearest. The sleeping arrangements are an adaptable range of spacious single and double beds in seven different bedrooms, so you can mix and match to meet your needs.

Inside you’ll appreciate the spacious layout, and bold design choices, with striking wooden wall finishes and expansive floor to ceiling folding glass doors, giving the whole place a distinctive Scandi vibe.

That chilled out Norse attitude extends to the amenities, with an onsite sauna, spacious hot tub and private heated outdoor terrace pool (available from April to October). For sunnier months, you have exclusive access to a second nearby pool, located in the nearby walled garden and heated to a balmy 28 degrees.

Challenge your guests at table tennis or basketball in the orchard, or unearth an undiscovered knack for croquet on the dedicated lawn.

The kitchen is sleek design personified, with a huge dining table that takes full advantage of the big windows and stunning setting.

For those looking to take things up a level, we can offer you a wealth of additional activities and extras, including massage visits, and private chefs to cook for you and your crew. The more adventurous can also book a range of activities from cider and wine tasting, to archery and even axe throwing sessions. Mind those croquet hoops!

Indoors is equally well equipped – Sonos music system throughout, a spacious entertainment area, complete with pool table and table football, plus plush sofas and calm seating.

About the location

Appropriately, The Picturehouse is set amongst some of Somerset’s picture-postcard countryside, and conveniently located 10 mins off the A303, just past Yeovil.

Things to do

Whatever the weather, there’s plenty to distract and delight, with the Fleet Air Arm Museum and Haynes Motor Museum just 15 and 20 mins away respectively.

Sunnier conditions require outdoor pursuits! Dorset’s West Bay beach is a delightful 60 min drive away. The markets and majesty of Frome can be reached in just over an hour, and the more adventurous could be in Bath in 70 mins.

Closer to home, there are plenty of woods to explore and dog walks to enjoy, right from the doorstep.
