Croxton Park House is part of the Croxton Park Estate in Leicestershire, owned by the Duchess of Rutland. The house was once a hunting lodge for the Dukes, and has now been renovated to make a family holiday cottage. Emma, the Duchess of Rutland, led the renovation herself, taking inspiration from her home, Belvoir Castle.
There are five bedrooms across the first and second floors, each sharing two good-sized bathrooms. There are enough beds for 12 guests, in a variety of single and double beds. One of the rooms holds both a double and single, and has an en-suite. One of the beds is a four-poster, hung with heavy velvet and brocade curtains. Perfect for any chilly nights! For any pony-mad little children, there’s a rocking horse on the landing.
Downstairs, there is a sensible kitchen with a double range cooker,

House Facts
Croxton Park is steeped in history and was originally an abbey from the early 12th Century then later the playground for the early Dukes of Rutland for country sports. All that remains of the abbey are some odd bits of stone work and the fishing ponds.
