Secluded behind double wooden gates, Cheltenham Chase is a touch of Californian-style living, nestled in the heart of one of the UK’s most charming towns.
Step into the bright hallway and admire the stylish open tread staircase ahead, before the enticing, spacious modern kitchen catches your eye. Gather your guests around the vast central island as you plan meals, outings, or just figuring out who’s sleeping where.
From this central ‘hub’ you can gaze out at the alfresco dining area on the terrace, marvel at the imposing T shaped dining table (yes, all your guests can comfortably fit come meal times). The kitchen table becomes a magnet for those seeking coffee and carbs the next morning.
When you’re not exploring Cheltenham’s many charms, the Chase is suitably fitted out with a wealth of chilling out and kicking back choices.

Film fans will gravitate towards the walk-in movie library, to be enjoyed on the many large TVs around the house. Sonos provides the crystal-clear soundtrack to your celebrations, while the more competitive among you vie for bragging rights on the table football and full-sized pool table.
Speaking of pool, the star of this show is a ‘living the dream’ 12 metres by 4 metres indoor wonder. Heated to a consistent 30 degrees and surrounded by sun-loungers, you could be forgiven for thinking you’re in Santa Monica, rather than just off the A40.
Sleeping arrangements are almost as impressive. You’ve got two ground floor bedrooms, for up to seven guests. Upstairs there’s another five big bedrooms, two with ensuites, as well as a pair of family bathrooms.
Whoever bags the master bedroom is in for a treat – a spectacular hairdryer station awaits. Feathers will fly on those hen do’s!
Head up the stairs from the snug and discover another two bedrooms, amply sleeping up to six, with a bathroom to share. Any last minute RSVP’s? There’s also a double above the garage with ensuite (available for an additional charge), taking you up to 26 potential partygoers.
Edmund’s Favourite Feature
“It’s got to be the indoor pool. One of the finest I’ve seen in any of our properties. It really brings home the ‘getting away from it all’ vibe of the place, as you move seamlessly from pool, to terrace, to kitchen, to BBQ.”
About the location
As the name suggests, Cheltenham Chase is perfectly situated to explore the famous town. A five min drive and you’re in the heart of the charming shopping and entertainment district. Or a calm 20 min stroll, if you prefer. The house itself is just five mins from the A40 for London visitors, or 15 mins from the M5 if you’re coming from the North.
Things to do
Situated along a charming leafy lane, Cheltenham Chase is ideally placed for you to explore Cheltenham’s popular chic boutiques, restaurants and cafes.
Now comes the important question – What will you fit in during your stay?
Head to the track? Cheltenham’s annual Gold Cup as well as regular race meets, make for a great day out, even if you don’t fancy a flutter.
If you’ve got kids in your party, make a beeline for the nearby Cotswold Farm Park, where they can take a train ride or try milking cows (though not at the same time). Bigger kids (whatever their ages) can get their adrenaline fix at Go Ape, hit the slopes for some (dry) skiing, or venture along the Forest of Dean’s trails on e-bikes.
With the Cotswolds (literally) on your doorstep, it seems rude not to venture out and lose yourself in the quaint, honey-coloured village surroundings. Our tip? Head to Lower or Upper Slaughter – less touristy than Bourton-on-the-Water (and considerably quieter).
