Kingswood Manor

Kingswood Manor is a Georgian country house just North East of the Surrey Hills, within easy reach of central London.

The house is light-filled and beautifully finished with period furniture and squishy velvet sofas. It’s perfect for a long, lazy weekend with friends, or a special celebration with lots of family.

There are 12 bedrooms in total, both in the main house, and in Kingswood Cottage, which is in the grounds. There are nine bedrooms in the main house (one of which is a ground floor room, with bathroom. Guests are asked to request the use of this room well in advance of their stay). Two of the rooms are suites, and all have an en-suite, or access to a dedicated bathroom.

The cottage has 3 rooms, and there is a kitchen and living room (making it ideal for those who might need to be independent from the main party).

Downstairs in the main house, guests are first welcomed into a generous oak-panelled hallway, from which rises a carved staircase. Leading from the hall is a panelled dining room, which overlooks the garden, and seats 16. There’s a drawing room and a games room with comfortable seats drawn up around a fire, and a full-size snooker table. There’s also a study and then a fully-fitted modern kitchen, with a morning room just off to one side.

The house is wrapped by a wide stone terrace, with tables and chairs for guests to sit in the evening sun. The gardens are extensive, with plenty of room for games and silliness.

About the Location

Kingswood Manor is in the village of Kingswood, just off Junction 8 of the M25. There is a train station in the village, going into London Charing Cross.

Things To Do

The village of Kingswood has lots of pretty walks, leading to English country pubs in the surrounding villages. St. Andrews Church is very lovely to visit on a hot summer’s day.
