After dinner, you can keep the good things going in the spacious living room with separate snug, each featuring its own cosy log burner. Or dial up the competitive tendencies in the ground floor games room, where pool table rivalries can spill over into air hockey matches and ring toss competitions.
Ready for bed? Greens Norton House can comfortably sleep 20. Upstairs, your guests can choose from any of the eight bedrooms, each furnished in luxurious country style. There’s also a choice of three family bathrooms, while the master bedroom has its own ensuite – we’ll let you decide who’s worthy.
On the ground floor, you’ll find a further two twin bedrooms that share a wetroom and two additional WCs.
In case of last-minute additions, there’s also a spacious two-bed apartment, available for a supplemental charge. The apartment includes a lounge, kitchen/diner and family shower room.
Head outside and enjoy roaming the expansive two-acre grounds at your leisure. Sounds like too much effort? Activate the six-seater hot tub instead, and relax while the rest of your party makes the most of the croquet lawn, football goal, badminton set and swingball.
Evening plans? The rear terrace has been designed to seat up to 24, for glorious alfresco dining. You can then impress your guests with your culinary skills by cooking up a storm on one of the house’s two BBQ’s.
Edmund’s favourite feature
“It’s got to be the rear terrace – It’s rare to find somewhere that has so much exceptional outdoor dining space. Some guests bring in professional chefs, which always makes their stay feel extra special.”
About the location
Greens Norton Park is located just outside the pretty village of Greens Norton and just two miles from Towcester. The A43 runs less than two miles away with access to the M1 and M40, and the nearest railway station is Northampton.
The house is especially convenient for London and the midlands, about an hour’s drive from both the capital and Birmingham, and 45 mins from Oxford.
Greens Norton itself has a lovely pub less than five minutes-walk, which does great food. There is a post office and local stores too, ideal for resupplying the fridge!
Things to do
From F1 and indoor climbing, to canal museums and llama trekking, Greens Norton Park has plenty on its doorstep.
Silverstone race circuit is just down the road, as well as a multitude of National Trust places, gastropubs and charming diversions.
The house dates back to the 1600s with additions that came in both 1800s and again in the 1900s. Prior to Matthew owning Greens Norton House, it was in the same family for over 90 years.
