Glansevin is a wonderful privately-owned mansion set in large, secluded grounds.

Set in 10 acres of private grounds, Glansevin was built during the Napoleonic war as a family home, it is now into its 3rd century as a residence. From the 16th century, until after World War II, the house was the seat of one of the oldest surviving families in Wales. Both lines of the family are of Celtic and royal origin, with connections from Edward I and Tendwr Mawr (Tudor the Great). The oldest part of the house – bedroom 10 and the sitting room below it – was known as the Tudor House.

Glansevin Mansion is a wonderful, privately-owned Georgian mansion set in spacious, secluded gardens. It has a large sitting room with an open fire & bar area, a dining room big enough to seat up to 75 guests and an indoor games room with a pool table, table tennis and table football; there are an additional three smaller reception rooms.  One large kitchen is beside the dining room and a second kitchen close by.  Outside there is a plunge pool and wood-fired sauna.

There are 28 bedrooms at Glansevin, sleeping up to 58 guests; 14 bedrooms in the mansion, 6 bedrooms in the mansion flats & 8 bedrooms in the annexe.

The house sits in 10 acres of grounds, with gardens, a wood-fired sauna and outdoor plunge-pool. There is plenty of space for outdoor games or relaxing in the sunshine.

The house is in the Towy Valley, at the western foothills of the Brecon Beacons National Park. Surrounded by hills, rivers, lakes and open moorland, this big house makes an ideal base for inspiring walks. There are wonderful walks close by, plenty of castles and the coast 40 minutes away.  The house can put you in touch with local outdoor activity companies and professional guided walkers.

There is a small village a mile and a half away, Llangadog, which has three small country pubs with decent menus and open log fires. Local shops also sell a range of fresh Welsh produce and there is a butcher, post office and train station.

The property is suitable for friends and family parties, celebrations, weddings, reunions and themed weekends. It is also very suitable for corporate and business use.
