The large dining room has ample room for everyone to enjoy feasts and festivities, whether prepared by you in the large, capable kitchen, or delegated to one of our recommended caterers.
Once you’ve got your bearings inside, it’s time to lose yourself in the extensive, characterful grounds. The Peninsula Garden is the most gentle and charming garden on the estate. Surrounded by water on three sides, this is a favoured spot for some proper relaxing. Grab a good book and a coffee (and don’t forget to say hello to the resident swans).
Head through the orchard (helping yourself to pears and apples, if they’re ripe) to
The Walled Garden. With a large lawn, greenhouses and a selection of plants, this is the perfect place to sunbathe, throw a frisbee or take those all-important group photos.
When the weather is glorious, why not sit outside on the pretty terrace and take in the exceptional views of the river and grounds?
Edmund’s favourite feature
“Fishing aficionados will appreciate staying on the banks of the River Blythe. The Hall has kindly laid on extra rods and tackle, so guests can indulge their passion for poisson whenever they like.”

Since its purchase by the noted Antiquarian and Herald to the King, Sir William Dugdale, in 1625, the hall has remained with the same family for four centuries.
