House Information

Lazonby Hall is a lovely newly refurbished private family home, it’s suitable for parties of family and friends, special celebrations or business use. The house is situated in seven acres of garden/field/woodland. 

Lazonby is a beautiful house, sleeping 14 people with 7 doubles or twin rooms with 5 bathrooms (3 ensuites), a dining room, a large drawing room, and a large open-plan kitchen. There is a library and a large drawing room where family or friends can play board games or just relax in front of the TV. The house is heated with open fires in the drawing room, kitchen and the dining room. There is a wood burner in the hall as well as underfloor heating in the kitchen and radiators in all the other rooms as well making this an amazing cosy winter house. There is wi-fi across the house making it a perfect place to be able to work as well as relax.

The kitchen has a 3 oven Everhot cooker plus an induction hob and a separate Rangemaster electric.

About the Location

The house is situated in the beautiful Eden Valley between the Lake District and the Pennines. The pretty market town of Penrith is 15 minutes drive and Lake Ullswater is only 25 mins away to keep you all very busy.

Things to do

There are plenty of country walks in the lakes, along the Eden, or on the Pennines. Hadrian’s wall is a 30 – 45 minute drive away so there is plenty to do. There are plenty of good local shoots from 80 to 400 bird days. We can also organise driven grouse days on the nearby Pennine moors upon request. There is also fishing on the river Eden. A cook/housekeeper can also be provided subject to your exact requirements

There are good bespoke shops in Penrith plus a Booths (Waitrose of the north!) plus M&S, Sainsbury’s, Morrisons and Aldi. There is an excellent ‘Lakes and Dales’ Co-Op in the village with a surprisingly comprehensive choice of food and drink and certainly a cut above most village shops.
