A wedding, how exciting! We’d like to help you make your special day exactly as you’ve imagined it. We’ll help you find the perfect wedding house (or barn, or castle, or English meadow).
We have a great collection of large wedding venues to suit all budgets, from romantic moated manor houses to country barns. You can browse our collection below, or search by geographical location. We have magical properties all over the UK, from the Scottish Highlands, to the beaches of Cornwall.
Our houses are used to hosting weddings, and have room to hold the bridal party, family and close friends. For guests who are not to stay in the main house, there are usually lists of local B&B’s or small hotels, or some of our more rural houses offer shepherd’s huts, glamping or good old-fashioned camping.
All of our wedding venues offer a room for the wedding ceremony, but if you’d like to be married in a nearby village church (or ancient woodland) then that can be arranged. One of the lovely things about our houses is their flexibility. You are free to tailor your wedding day to exactly how you’ve imagined it. Unlike a large hotel, quite a few of our houses only offer one or two weddings a year. They have time to really work with you and achieve your dream. It goes without saying that all of our properties are exclusive use.
The properties listed on the Landed Houses site are privately run, and have experienced teams ready to help you plan your wedding. You could choose a small gathering of close friends or family, or a glorious society wedding, complete with black-lacquered carriage and grey horses. Most of our properties offer flexibility for using a marquee, or have grand banqueting halls or family chapels. Every one of our houses offer gorgeous views of the British countryside; settings that will make your wedding unforgettable.
A Word From Edmund
I’m fussy when choosing big houses for our collections, especially for weddings – even small ones need considerable time and investment, and the wedding venue is such an important part of the big day. We regularly speak to the management teams (quite often the family) of every house, and research every property. We’re assiduous in checking on-line reviews, and we’re proud to include each and every country house or estate on our books.
