West Acre

West Acre has a large, well-equipped kitchen with 3 eating areas: a large dining room (seating up to 16), an outdoor eating and seating area (dining for 16 plus the African hut) with barbecue and a smaller table in the kitchen diner (seats 8).

The social hub of the house is the main living room with plenty of seating, a 52″ SMART TV, selection of classic family board games and a central wood-burning stove. There’s also has a second living room ‘the den’ which has an Xbox 360 and PlayStation 4 alongside an old school record player.

West Acre is fully accessible with a lift and two ground floor bedrooms with shared bathroom. The whole of the downstairs and the patios areas of the garden are all designed to be fully wheelchair accessible.

Upstairs is 7 individually designed boutique style bedrooms. The master bedroom boasts a super-king bed and an en-suite. The other 4 upstairs bedrooms all have king-size beds and en-suites.

The house is full of entertainment facilities. It has a pool table, hot tub, sauna, cinema room and Sonos music system to keep the entire group entertained.

Outside is a south facing sun terrace with views over the countryside and a 6 person hot tub, and seating areas and sun loungers. It even has an attached kitchenette so you can keep your drinks cool.

There is a 6 person Swedish Sauna and even a separate cinema room.  They provide all guests with towels, robes and slippers.

About the Location

West acre is just a 22 minute drive from the bustling city of York, steeped in history with museums, independent shops and eateries. The house is also a stone’s throw away for the stunning Yorkshire Dales and a 45 minute drive from the Yorkshire Wildlife Park.

Things to do

The property has an array of outdoor activities for all ages, including a thatched African hut, a children’s play area and playhouse, and a firepit area. Entertainment also includes table tennis, basketball and croquet.
