In the heart of the Forest of Dean, The Anchor is a charmingly converted holiday cottage accommodating groups of up to 22 guests.
On the ground floor, there’s a large lounge with original wooden beams and a wood-burning stove, a well-lit kitchen with connecting utility and a barrel-vaulted dining area with seating for 20 people.
The downstairs is also complete with bar, W/C and snug area with a sofa bed and en-suite bathroom for guests who’d prefer to stay on the lower floor.
Upstairs there are 7 modern bedrooms comprising double, bunk and single beds, all with their own private en-suite bathrooms. The bedrooms at the front have a great view of 18th-century superstar actress Sarah Siddons’ house.
Outside there’s a separate games room with a pool table, table football and table tennis plus an indoor hot tub with views of the gardens.

Stayed there for a friend's 25th, there were 15 of us with room to spare! Perfectly kitted out and with a hot tub to boot.

We stayed here for a week for my mum's 50th and it was absolutely amazing! We had a big age range and it suited everyone, my 1 year old loved it! Extremely clean house and the facilities available were more than you could want! Pool table, pin ping, hot tub and DVDs etc if you want a quiet evening, among many more. All of our party would stay here again! It's a remote location but close to loads of different towns so great variety! Loved it!

Quick and super friendly! Had to change my booking with Big House Holiday Lets 3 times 'cos of Covid then had to cancel and got refund. BHHL fantastic to deal with. Highly recommend.
