Sussex Manor
About Sussex Manor
The house has a sweeping, wooded driveway leading you to the impressive exterior of this period property. It’s an oasis of calm, where contemporary and traditional have been skilfully combined.
The house has 8 bedrooms (soon to be more) sleeping 16 guests. All the bedrooms are light, airy and extremely spacious with lavish, draped curtains and sumptuous fabrics. Quite the rock star house.
The bedroom arrangement is one on the ground floor, with cloakroom access, using the upstairs bathroom. The remaining 7 bedrooms are on the first floor, with 3 of them ensuite. There is a wet room, quite the largest you’ve probably ever seen and an equally scaled up bathroom.
In all, 4 superking, 2 doubles and 2 twin of sleeping accommodation that suits families and friends really well.
The ground floor is glamorous with an oak panelled dining room for candlelit, celebration dinners, fun and laughter. It connects to the sitting room, ideal for pre dinner drinks or lounging and enjoying the views to the garden. The kitchen is well equipped for all your big group catering needs and there’s plenty of room to make preparing your meals a very social event.
All 15 acres of the grounds are yours to explore. There’s an outdoor pool, open May to September and a cool poolside bar, plenty of seating and inflatables too. Sussex Manor has plenty for children – a trampoline, outdoor play area and giant games. If the weathers not great, Netflix and Apple TV will save the day.
Robertsbridge is an easy drive from London or catch the train to the station, 3 miles away. If you’re wanting to explore the area, we’d recommend Rye for its nature reserve, the historic castle, boat tours and great cafes to enjoy a coffee or casual lunch. Hastings, is also a coastal town with a long beach, a funicular railway and lots for children – adventure golf, laser tag, parks and playgrounds. We think the folk of Hastings are definitely into the dramatic, with a Crime museum and a shipwreck museum.
