House Facts
Oxon Hoath was originally built in the 1400's by Sir John Culpepper, a Knight of King Henry V, as a royal park for the Kingdom's oxen and deer. Over the centuries, the Oxon Hoath Estate has been the ancestral family home to eleven Knights of the Realm, many of whom enhanced both the house and the grounds in a variety of classical architectural styles.

Tina and the Team did so much to enhance my enjoyment of my granddaughter's wedding, including providing a room right next to the breakfast room, which eased my mobility issues. I have never had so much fun. I even danced the night away with the aid of my walking stick! I can't thank them enough! :)

Oxon Hoath is an incredible place. We were lucky enough to have our wedding weekender at the house in July 2022. From our initial viewing, right through to packing down, the team were simply outstanding. Our guests couldn't believe this hidden gen was right on their doorstep and were blown away by the hospitality, food and surroundings. If you ever get the chance to visit or book Oxon Hoath for your event, then go for it! It will be the best decision you ever make! Thank you to the wonderful team at Oxon Hoath for making our dreams come true. Jen & Tom x

Beautifully manicured gardens. Great atmosphere. Massive beautiful tree's you will ever see. Rooms are cosy and staff are exceptional friendly. Will definitely come back again.

A wonderful venue for a tai chi retreat. The room was large and overlooked the drive. We had the widows open all night and to wake up to the dawn chorus was amazing. The weather was kind to us, warm and beautiful sunshine meant we could practise outside. The food is tasty and you will never go hungry here. The staff always remembered your name which made it feel like home.

Attended an all wonderful Iyengar Yoga retreat here. I knew the yoga was going to be great but I was so impressed with the whole place. Lovely people working there making it all happen, excellent food and very beautiful house and gardens. It's grand!

Beautiful country estate house set in formal gardens & parkland. Available to hire for conferences & special occasions, either self-catering or with catering provided. Accommodation is simple, but clean & comfortable. Great place to have a weekend party or to go on a retreat or conference.

Pretty stunning place for a wedding or a big zero birthday or a posh workshop/seminar.

I have retreated here, off and on, for many years. Every time I enter through the gates, calm descends! The staff are brilliant and also appropriately absent / non - intrusive. The rooms are eclectic and comfortable, the building and interior simply beautiful, and the grounds are stunning. Having worked here (offering Therapeutic Sound), I can also say that the front room upstairs has the most wonderful acoustic for sound work. I adore Oxon Hoath and I believe you will too. A perfect location for peace, regeneration, inspiration, spiritual solace, or simply rest AND the food is healthy, wholesome and delicious.

I visit at least twice a year on their retreat weekends. Completely relaxing in a lovely old house in wonderful setting in the depths of leafy Kent. You really are away from it all and a perfect antidote to a busy life especially if, like me, you live in London. There are classes in yoga, tai chi and meditation which are held in the first floor studio, where just looking out at the view gives you a sense of peace, and a host of holistic treatments are available over the course of your stay. A class and two treatments are included in the basic price but you can book as many extras as are available or you can fit in. However, you may like just to explore the area and there are some suggested walks around the estate and beyond. The food is vegetarian only but the chef is imaginative and the food is wonderful. They will also cater for special diets. Much of the food is grown in their own walled garden which, in itself, is worth a visit. There is a beautiful library with a huge fireplace where visitors gather in the evening to chat or relax; naturally there is no TV and mobile phones are banned in public areas. There is also a cosy little bar. The guest bedrooms are often quirky but clean and comfortable. It also caters for corporate events as well as weddings. Do not expect a Champneys or Sanctuary-type place but it's the unique charm of this place which takes people like myself back time and again.

We had our wedding at the glorious Oxon Hoath back in June 2018 and genuinely couldn’t have asked for a more dreamy venue to host our vibrant and rather quirky wedding weekend. Tina couldn’t have been more accommodating when we had some unusual ideas to make the day unique and special. We had constant comments from our friends and family about what a stunning place it is and how lucky we were to have found it. Spacious enough to home our bridal party and some extras, but intimate enough that we had the whole place to ourselves. Simply stunning gardens and view over countryside Kent, Tina grows a lot of fruit, veg and herbs too so our catering was done in house with amazing fresh and season ingredients. Couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Hoping to come back to renew our vows one day!

We have had a few office Xmas parties at Oxon Hoath and have had the best time ever. Tina and her team attend to all the organisation and make our stay very comfortable. When we arrive they have the house decorated with the most beautiful Xmas trees and floral displays. The fire is alight and it feels so welcoming. We go for country walks to the pub and when we got stuck one year Tina came to the rescue- nothing is too much hassle for the OH team. We will be coming back. We love, love, love Oxon Hoath.

What is there to say other than Oxonhoath is a magical place! Having run an annual weekend party there for friends and family since 2011, the management team and onsite management are simply brilliant and help make planning any event, a stress free project. The house and grounds are charming with a beautiful paneled library, which looks out over the gorgeous Kent countryside, being the jewel in the crown. The bedrooms are very comfortable (great linen!), there are excellent menus and catering options and superb healthy breakfasts and the staff are always warm and extremely accommodating. We'll be back for many years to come, as long as it's available!

Beautiful estate. We happened to come by during our rambling in the countryside.

Well restored retreat centre, sumptuous food, comfortable beds, but what really makes it is the staff who make it easy to get the most from your time away.

We have just celebrated our wedding at Oxon Hoath - our guests, my husband and I had the most amazing time. The setting is completely stunning and the whole team at Oxon Hoath were brilliant. Particularly Tina, who made sure everything came together perfectly. Thank you!
