We stayed at Merriwethers as a group of 11 for a work team night away. The house is huge and more than accommodated for all of us. Everything had been thought of by the host and there was so much to do in terms of entertainment! The pub is a great addition and a large dining table could accommodate everyone. Theresa was super responsive and helped us with suggestions for chefs, takeaways, walks in the local areas etc. We would certainly recommend this stay, everyone had an amazing time!!

We booked this magnificent property for our friend’s 40th birthday party, and honestly we could not have been any happier. The property is even more stunning than seen in the photos. Very comfy beds, a plethora of great bathrooms and a an abundance of activities/facilities such as the outdoor heated swimming pool, pool table and tennis. Checking in and out was seamless, and I had the pleasure of meeting Theresa who was so lovely and welcoming. As a group we have already decided to return next summer !

Wonderful place for business Team building and the resort is well looked after with stunning gardens ,bar and game room, pool , barbecue area and all the tools you would need for cooking etc. Lovely bedrooms, clean and tidy. A bonus was they even had a separate gas barbecue just for vegetarian . Thanks for a wonderful time

Just returned from a long weekend here and it was way beyond my expectations! the whole place was spotless, well equipped and absolutely massive! We spent the majority of our time in the heated pool or private pub. The owners were very accommodating and lots of help on the run up to the event. thank you very much!

We had our intimate wedding at Merrieweathers in May and it was everything we could of dreamed of. The facilities and comfort is exceptional. We made full use of the heated swimming pool and the pub is an outstanding extra. Theresa as a host is attentive, informative and is willing to go the extra mile. She was able to provided us with countless recommendations for catering, hairdressers and many others. We are already planning our next visit. Thank you for making our day so special.

We rented the stables for a weekend to celebrate my 30th and engagement drinks, I couldn’t speak more highly about the stay.We rented it in feb, and even in winter it is well worth visiting. The house is stunning and well looked after. The kitchen is well fitted out and you can easily cook for 18. The pub on site is an amazing space and I’d fully recommend buying a keg from the local brewery. Theresa was a wonderful host and was great at sharing all the needed info before the stay and was always available to answer any questions. We’ll be sure to come back again at some point

I booked this property to celebrate my 30th birthday for some friends and family. Although the pictures look great, we were all still amazed by how beautiful the property was. We had the best time and would all love to come back. The private pub is a standout! Theresa made the whole process of booking very easy and answered all queries very promptly. Everything was very easy and self-explanatory when we arrived that we did not have to contact Theresa at all during once stay. Very happy I chose The Merrieweathers and hope to be back again.

Have stayed 3 three times now. Lovely property, lovely grounds, lovely countryside all around. A historic house fully equipped with all mod cons, it even has it own pub. Lovely owners, nothing is too much trouble.

We were a group of 12 lads celebrating Luke’s stag do. We could not have asked for any more, we all spent majority of our time in the pub playing games. We even put a sports day together with the pool table, football table and darts which was great fun. We even used the huge ... projectors for the England game in the pub and a few of the lads used the projector in the big lounge to watch a film which had incredible surround sound. The place is plenty big enough that you are not on each other’s toes and have plenty of space to wander and spend on your own if needed. Theresa the host was very helpful leading up to and throughout our stay. Would definitely stay again.

Speechless. 15 old men who’ve been around the block a bit were left speechless by Merrieweathers. We stayed for 3 nights as a get-together to watch the racing from the Cheltenham Festival. As you’d guess we spent a lot of time in the pub, we had darts and pool competitions, we watched football and horses, ... we played music and sang! We’ve had the time of our lives. The house and stables in simply stunning, everything is quality. The kitchen appliances, the furniture, the beds, the bedding, even the cutlery and crockery are of the highest order. Theresa was really easy to communicate with too, our only complaint was having to return to reality after our stay.
