Originally built in 1870, Merrieweathers consists of two properties next to each other, The Stables and The Hayloft. Together they offer accommodation for up to 18 people.

Entering through a beautiful oak door, The Stables has a 50 ft Great Hall with oak beams and chestnut floors that is split into three areas; living, dining and entertaining. The room has a large dining table seating 18 guests, comfy sofas, piano and cinema screen, making it the perfect space for the entire group to enjoy together.

The well-equipped kitchen has an oak table seating 8 people leading to a private sitting room with 65 inch television and French doors opening out onto the terrace.

Catering can be arranged with local caterers creating menus using local ingredients.

House Facts

Merrieweathers Stables was built in 1870 presumably for Sir Thomas Brock who owned the estate at the time. His most famous work is the Victoria Memorial in front of Buckingham Palace, London for which he was knighted on the spot on its unveiling.

What a lovely weekend here. The house and the barn is where we all stayed. We had access to the swimming pool outside and the pub to bring our own booze. If there was a problem. A email to the person from our host sorted it out within the hour. Cannot fault it. View was ...

Amazing house, lovley hosts. The beer which was supplied for the pub was also great. For celebrating a stag do it was perfect us. Fun weekend all round.
