Originally built in 1870, Merrieweathers consists of two properties next to each other, The Stables and The Hayloft. Together they offer accommodation for up to 18 people.

Entering through a beautiful oak door, The Stables has a 50 ft Great Hall with oak beams and chestnut floors that is split into three areas; living, dining and entertaining. The room has a large dining table seating 18 guests, a comfy sofa, piano and cinema screen, making it the perfect space for the entire group to enjoy together.

Leading on to a well-equipped kitchen with AGA and oak table with seating for 8 people and a private sitting room with open fireplace and 65 inch television.

Catering can be arranged with local caterers creating menus using local ingredients.

House Facts

Merrieweathers Stables was built in 1870 presumably for Sir Thomas Brock who owned the estate at the time. His most famous work is the Victoria Memorial in front of Buckingham Palace, London for which he was knighted on the spot on its unveiling.

Wow, just returned from the most amazing weekend at Merrieweathers with friends for my belated 40th. Everyone was completely blown away by the stables/hayloft accommodation, living areas and all the facilities on offer. We fully took advantage of the heated pool, tennis court and of course the pub. A game of darts or pool went ...

Brilliant place to stay, amazing facilities. The place is huge. We will go back.
