About Bardney Hall

Bardney Hall is a beautifully proportioned Queen Anne manor house, in a charming market town in North Lincolnshire. It is ideal for parties of family and friends, and welcomes weddings.

The house has 6 en-suite bedrooms, and sleeps up to 14 guests. All of the bedrooms have kingsize beds, and one of the rooms has an adjoining room with twin beds (so perfect for a young family).  Although all of the rooms are on the first floor, one of the rooms is reached via a separate staircase.

Downstairs, the rooms are large with high ceilings and huge sash windows. There is a drawing room (with grand piano), a breakfast room and a big dining room, which seats from fourteen guests. There is also a games room, which has a pool table and table football. The kitchen is suitable for catering, and is fully equipped to serve more than a household of guests.

Outside, the house has a big, walled garden, surrounded by mature trees, with lots of immaculate topiary. There is a generous terrace, with tables and chairs and a barbeque. The house has croquet sets, boules and table tennis, for guests to enjoy.

Edmund’s Choice of Extraordinary Feature

“It’s quite unusual to find a manor house of this size in a town. The walled garden gives it a real sense of privacy and protection.”

About the Location

Bardney Hall is in the country-side town of Barton-Upon-Humber, within the curve of the Humber River. The town is on the tip of Northern Lincolnshire, just south of the Yorkshire border. The town has a small railway station. The historical cities of York and Lincoln are both within an hour’s drive and there is beautiful countryside, including the east coast, on the doorstep.

Things To Do

Barton-on-Humber has several pubs, and the surrounding countryside has some good walks. The coast is close by, as is the city of Hull (a City of Culture), which is over the Humber Bridge.

Bardney Hall enjoys hosting weddings and civil ceremonies, and the owners, Claire and Hannah Sutton, can help you arrange your day to be as wonderful as you’ve imagined.

Bardney Hall is suitable for weddings of up to 40 day guests and 100 evening guests. For larger weddings, the marquee will host up to 90 day guests and 120 evening guests.

Visited as photographer for a wedding, absolutely stunning place, Claire was amazing putting the newly weds first and very attentive, unfortunately it was during Covid so did get to see it at it's best but can tell how amazing this place will be once everything is back to normal...A real gem that I will be recommending from now on !

Stunning wedding venue My son and daughter-in-law recently held their wedding reception at Bardney Hall; wow, what a beautiful venue! The hosts - Claire and Hannah - were welcoming and attentive to everyone’s needs. Prior to the ‘big day’ they both went the extra mile in every way especially with regard to communication and being accommodating with any requests. The house and gardens are stunning; perfect for any special occasion. Bardney Hall is truly a hidden gem. Read more Date of stay: August 2020
