House Facts
Sparkford Hall is Georgian and was finished around 1840, but incorporates elements of an earlier building. It was built by Henry Bennett, who was the Rector of Sparkford for 38 years. The house is large and elegant, designed with the typical generosity of the era, and the reception rooms and bedrooms alike are large and light-filled.

Amazing property, would definitely return! Held a 20 person event at Sparkford Hall for 2 nights, all participants enjoyed their stay! The amenities were perfect and the staff were absolutely first class! Special thank you to the wonderful property manager Vincent, who exceeded our expectations during our time at Sparkford Hall.

Gorgeous venue with an amazing variety of amenities! I really loved my weekend here, and it was a pleasure to interact with the owner and caretaker. The grounds include a fantastic pool and sauna, making for the perfect countryside retreat. Overall a really beautiful and professionally run venue - I hope to be able to return for future events!

An absolutely incredible venue that we've used for a variety of different events. The house itself is beautiful and spacious; with many different rooms we've repurposed into accommodation and entertainment spaces. The location is good; with good train access from London, and an easy drive from Bristol. The staff though are particularly great; assisting with our extensive varied requests and negotiating sensibly about our particularly ambitious ideas. The bathroom to bedroom ratio is good, and some bedrooms include their own en suite. There is also a smaller cottage which is good accommodation for those who may like to retire early. All in all, a great venue for events, getting together with friends, and weddings.

Phenomenal and beautiful venue, I've been running retreats and events here for years and will for many more.House layout and grounds are ideal for a retreat, wedding or overnight event. Can comfortably sleep >30.Well equipped kitchen with aga, professional range, and many fridge-freezers, can comfortably feed >60.Large events spaces, we've seated 60 for dinner in the great hall with half the room spare.Very thick walls with great noise insulation, and basement club is good for DJ sets. Sound does not penetrate to the bedrooms. The owner and groundskeeper are an absolute pleasure to work with. We've broken a lot of stuff over the years, from glasses to sauna benches, and have never been over-charged. We've always had our deposit back quickly.Pool and sauna are a great bonus. Very large and very pleasant grounds with a massive array of walks and things to do in the local area. Great museums

Stayed here with some friends to celebrate my 40th in December. The house is even better than I was imagining from the photos. It has a really homely, spacious, warm feel and is full of character. Everyone had huge smiles on their faces from the moment they arrived!I didn’t get a chance to meet James ... in person unfortunately, but I did speak to him on the phone and he was super friendly and helpful.Kyle was wonderful - professional and helpful throughout, he somehow managed to find a caterer at a week’s notice for one of our meals! Had a good chat with him at the event - super lovely guy!Last but not least - the basement club. As an electronic music lover I wanted music to be a focus of my celebrations - and this place is incredible. James kindly liaised with the engineer providing the sound system and allowed it to be set up before I arrived and collected after we had left. Calling it a cellar doesn’t do it justice - it has its own unique vibe which is very cool!Had one of the best weekends of my life, and I don’t think there would have been another venue where it would have been possible! Huge thanks to James, Kyle and crew

Took the Hall and Barn for join birthday celebrations, mine and my son's 18th. Plenty of rooms for all family and my son's friends to stay. The house is a good party house, comfortable and 'lived in' so you don't feel you have to ultra careful. Well equipped with cutlery, plates etc. The barn is ... large and takes a lot to decorate well, would take a bit to heat, we were lucky with the weather as mild October! Overall a good place for a family and party!
